I found this after reading a bit about Our lady of good success, which in itself, is absolutely incredible, but the Nilus prophecy…that specifically talks about OUR CURRENT TIME, no doubt about that, so, is this absolute proof we are getting close to the end of the ‘end times’?

This part really stuck with me…

**And all this will result from the fact that the Antichrist wants to be Lord over everything and become the ruler of the whole universe, and he will produce miracles and fantastic signs. He will also give depraved wisdom to an unhappy man so that he will discover a way by which one man can carry on a conversation with another from one end of the earth to the other. At that time men will also fly through the air like birds and descend to the bottom of the sea like fish. And when they have achieved all this, these unhappy people will spend their lives in comfort without knowing, poor souls, that it is deceit of the Antichrist. **

Its so true, for the most part, most of our lives are pretty darn comfortable.

The part about the unhappy man being given wisdom to create a means for people to communicate globally…not sure if this means the telephone in general or cell technology, text, or email? Would be interesting to look into the men who created these things…maybe something there?

I believe a nun was one of the inventors of the computer, and Paschal a Catholic invented a language for it. We’ll never know if some if the inventors were unhappy unless they felt their inventions weren’t perfect.

That whole prophecy seems vague. That could have happened in World War 11. I haven’t seen or heard of any miracle men either. I doubt anyone would call technology a miracle in the strictest sense. And the Anti Christ could be anyone. I think we’re better off to realize Jesus could come back at any time and prepare ourselves for that.

the st. nilus prophecy is totally fake, it just appeared in the 20th century, and there is no historical sourcing of it.

Please no! Not another thread from you about the end of times.

NOBODY, except God, knows when that is.

I have also heard of the alleged prophecy and have been unable to track its origin.
There is another prophecy though supposedly by St Hildegarde where she says that the coastlines will flood by force of a comet passing by the Earth…It will cause great devastation. That seems possible but then again I am not sure of the source.
We should always be ready for the return of Jesus Christ because the angels said he will return just as he left and he will be accompanied by a host of angels!

I would base the end of times on the words of Jesus who said it will come at a time when everyone is eating, drinking, and making merry and will be a surprise. Something like Noah’s times, totally unexpected and people laughing at the good people.

Of course, an argument could be made that we have had several occasions of this going on in history before now.

Well, yea, every decade since Christ walked the earth has been like that.

This was supposedly written in 1630, but another poster said it was fake and from the 20th century, so…?

I realize and agree God is the ONLY one who knows the day this will happen, BUT, it would be strange if God did not send ONE SINGLE person, all thru history, a true prophecy about this. at least a rough estimate, within a specific century or decade.

Realistically, this would almost have to happen fairly soon, if mankind progresses like we did from 1800-2000…we will likely be colonizing space within the next 200 yrs.

Jesus said that they would be doing the bad stuff at the end of time just as in Noah’s day.
And that they would be caught off guard. Of course the good people aren’t caught off guard for they are always ready just like Jesus told them to be.

So do we really need a prophet at the end? The story of the rich man in hell, looking up at Lazarus with Abraham, asked that someone be sent to his living brothers to warn them. And the reply was, if they didn’t believe the Moses and the prophets, then they wouldn’t believe someone special who might be sent either.

We’ve already had our warning. A prophet would not help because there will always be doubt along with the laughter.

Besides what could we do if we were warned right before the end? Do you think people would believe you? or some self-proclaimed prophet? And what is to distinguish him from some false shepherd?

There will always be controversy about the time, but as Jesus said, no one knows the time not even me.

God did not do that. Why don’t you leave this alone. You have started more threads on this same topic than any other forum member.
No human knows when the end is coming.

Even if it was moderately genuine - a sort of inkling or good guess - there is far less to this than meets the eye.

It smacks of head wagging to say that the people involved in this invention - who were as decent as you or me - were “unhappy”. Of course our age in recent centuries has lost some light in some ways - it sounds like Yanomamis or some such people would wag their heads at the poignant balance of losses and gains.

These things are all the more true if it was written in about 1900 of course - shortly after the event, like Virgil’s characters who “predict” the glittering achievements of the Roman Emperor.

Oh no. This is about the millionth thread you have started on the end of times. Do you really expect different answers from us by starting new threads?
