Prophecy?

I am married and have two kids (boy and girl, born 4 years apart). I have never had a dream about Jesus in my life before. On the night of Good Friday, I had a dream where He told me I will have a twin boy and girl to make me a better parent. It turned out my wife had a similar dream earlier in the week but did not tell me about it. After our dreams, she tested positive for pregnancy. But we don’t know if it will be twins yet. I feel like I’m in the uncomfortable position of putting the Lord to the test. What should I do?

You cannot commit sins while asleep. So no you did not “test” God.

Yes, sometimes God does use dreams to show us things. It seems that He was definitely alerting you to the fact that you would soon be blessed with another child. Is all the rest going to come true as well? Maybe, maybe not. Dreams can be funny things. But its fun to find out if they come true. And if it’s for your family’s good? Then it may have very well been a dream sent from heaven. God bless you!

It was not Jesus, but my aunt has dreams about newborn babies in the family and they all turn out true (this is before knowing someone is pregnant). When she dreams its a girl, in reality its a boy.

would God give you a prophecy to worry you about tempting Him? Did this somehow accomplish any spiritual good? If it did, what is it? Find peace in His providence and care for you and your wife and take one step at a time, and ask Him to bless your child and your family
