**jakasaki, please understand that "Within one year " means within one year of that incident of the fugitives… The Prophet Isaiah is forecasting / telling something which the Lord God of Israel had told him. That is an incident. So please count the one year from the time that incident will take place, not from 714 years before christ.

Please Read these Prophecies gently and diligently. Thanks**.
i have read these prophecies gently and diligently.

Your claims are truly hilarious, thank you for your humor, i needed a good laugh today!

Just because you type in a large font that is purple, it does not add credibility to the lies and ignorant claims you make!

May God Bless you and give you the courage and the grace to accept our Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior!

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

**There are prophecies about the Messenger Muhammad in the old testament in various chapters. In Deut., in Isaiah, in Habkook, in songs of Soloman. I present here one prophecy from Isaiah chapter 21. Please see:

A Prophecy Against Arabia **
13 An oracle concerning Arabia:
You caravans of Dedanites,
who camp in the thickets of Arabia,
14 bring water for the thirsty;
you who live in Tema,
bring food for the fugitives.

15 They flee from the sword,
from the drawn sword,
from the bent bow
and from the heat of battle.

16 This is what the Lord says to me: “Within one year, as a servant bound by contract would count it, all the pomp of Kedar will come to an end. 17 The survivors of the bowmen, the warriors of Kedar, will be few.” The LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken.

This prophecy about Muhammad and Abubakr running away from the drawn out swords of the pagans of Makkah is telling the Dedanites, and dwellers of Tema to come to the help of the fugitives with food and water.

It is a 100 % true prophecy about the might of the Kedarians ( camel riders, owners) will be destroyed within one year. That is what happened at the battle of Badr when all the big leaders of the Pagans of Makkah were killed in battle. 100% true words from the Lord God of Israel spoken through His messenger / prophet Isaiah.
Sorry planten-you are simply wrong. The passage, taken in context, shows events that take place around the fall of Bablyon:
Isaiah 21:9-17 ( NIV )
9. Look, here comes a man in a chariot with a team of horses. And he gives back the answer: ‘Babylon has fallen, has fallen! All the images of its gods lie shattered on the ground!’”
10 O my people, crushed on the threshing floor, I tell you what I have heard from the LORD Almighty, from the God of Israel.
11. An oracle concerning Dumah: Someone calls to me from Seir, “Watchman, what is left of the night? Watchman, what is left of the night?”
12. The watchman replies, “Morning is coming, but also the night. If you would ask, then ask; and come back yet again.”
13. An oracle concerning Arabia:You caravans of Dedanites, who camp in the thickets of Arabia,
14. bring water for the thirsty; you who live in Tema, bring food for the fugitives.
15. They flee from the sword, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow and from the heat of battle.
16. This is what the Lord says to me: “Within one year, as a servant bound by contract would count it, all the pomp of Kedar will come to an end.
The survivors of the bowmen, the warriors of Kedar, will be few.” The LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken.

There is simply no mention of any individual in this passage that would identify Mohammad, or Islam. Although it talks about the tribes of Kedar, these existed at the time of the Assyrian invasion. There is nothing to indicate the writer is refering to a period 1200 years later, and his reference to Babylon strongly indicates the prophecy should be relegated to that time. Additionally, the word Tema, while describing a tribe in Arabia, is not congruent with either Mecca or Medina. This view is further reinforced by the sentence that “they” flee “from the heat of battle.” Mohammad fled Mecca, but not to leave a battle. According to the New Commentary on the Whole Bible, Kedar was a “son of Ishmael (Gen. 25:13) whose descendants were a seminomadic people who ranged widely between Sinai and Arabia, north into Palestine and east toward Mesopotamia.” This general description doesn’t indicate any particular affinity to Mohammad or Islam, and the context of the entire chapter indicates it is making predictions of times very close to the fall of Babylon.

**SteveLohr, the topic here is the prophecy of the prophet Isaiah chapter 19 about the Arabs. If I follow your line here it will derail the topic. I wanted to reply you there in your thread. But I could not do it. So please leave it there. Do not bring it here unless you have nothing to say about the prophet Isaiah’s prophecy.

If possible, i will try to reply to you about your detailed post where it belonged.

Same is my reply about your both posts about miracles and reports of jesus in the bibleOT. I am not questioning you here. I will deal with that at its appropriate place.
Thanks.**
Planten-With all due respect, my posts are absolutely appropriate here. You are impliedly making a claim that the Bible has prophecies that support Islam. I am counterdicting your claim by pointing out the Bible prophecies that predict Christ. If my intrepretation of these prophecies is correct, then it seriously puts into question your contention that the Bible prophesizes Mohammad.

Regards,

**SteveLohr, You keep trying. But look to the words of Prophet Isaiah when he says “A prophecy against Arabia.” And you go fit it to Babylon. Who will believe you?

Next, the Bible OT is very useful book. The so called christians have got it tied up with their BibleNT for some malafide reason even though Jesus had told them never to put new wine in old bottles (Vinesacks). But they disobey Jesus and keep the bibleNT tied up with the OT. Even then they do not read the bibleOT. The so called christians are ignorant about the contents of their NT. How could they spare any time to study the bibleOT. They have no time for that.

So, I felt it necessary that some part of the very useful book bibleOT (which is full of the words of the Lord God of Israel) should be studied diligently and honestly. You please do the same. thanks.**

Planten-You seem to be confusing the time and the subject of this passage. For the purpose of our discussion, the reference to the fall of Babylon establishes the time frame of the prophecy. The reference to Arabia is the subject of what will happen at that time. Yes, the prophecy deals with Arabia, at the time of the fall of Babylon. A lot was going on in the middle east at the time, and the prophecy deals with the general upheaval of that time, with the passage we are discussing dealing with the upheaval in Arabia. How is that inconsistent? Certainly, my theory is consistent with the text, and is the theory that is generally accepted by Biblical scholarship, and has been for some time. Certainly, there is nothing in the text that points clearly to Mohammad, as I and other posters have pointed out.
With that said, how about answering my question about Biblical prophecy? I have presented you with over 40 Old Testiment prophecies that point to Jesus being the Messiah. You appear to agree that the Old Testament is a valid document. So how about addressing my points? Your silence in this and other threads indicates you can’t, and thereby by implication agreeing that the evidence for Jesus being the Messiah.

**Here is another one from Isaiah chapter 8.

13Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

14And he shall be for a sanctuary; but a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel,** a gin and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

15And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

16Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

17And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

It is telling that a pious man of God will appear but he will be a stumbling block for the both houses of Israel (which means the Jews and the christians). He will be a snare for the people of Jerusalem. If they will compete with him then they will be defeated and caught. In his time the Jewish law will be sealed, no more be applicable. God will hide his face from the House of Jacob. The prophet Isaiah says he will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and he will look for him who is to appear.

In the above prophecy, either Jesus is meant or it is Muhammad. There never was any other great person who appeared after Isaiah. But Jesus cannot be meant here because the Israelis were never caught by the christians. Jesus also did not bring any new law.

This prophecy is telling that Jewish law will be closed and a new law will be applied at that time. The followers of Jesus did away with the law of Moses and said that law was a curse.

This prophecy is telling that God will hide His face from the house of Jacob. Jesus was from the house of Jacob. So the person to come with blessings was not to be from the house of Jacob. Please see.

Black is just as good for the color blind. So his purple is no better.

:rotfl::rotfl:

:newidea::newidea:
On a serious note, Mohammad didn’t take too kindly on the blinds. So now you can understand why some people like to use multi-color, just to show that they are not blind. You wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of Mohammad, would you? 😉
