MUSIM POSTERS:
They may argue that the Quraan doesn’t count and is not good enough for them.
Assalam Alaikum Brother jcaz;
Baraka Allahu fik for the advice.
I understand that the Qur’an challenges our Christians Friends into their core beliefs; accepting it as a testimony to the prophet-hood of Muhammad (PBUH) could drive some of them to question those core beliefs and possibly face difficult choices.
Also, bringing outside testimonies would not help either.To our Christian Friends, Jesus (PBUH) redeemed everyone; to them, nothing from anyone else is left to do, this is a core belief.
We have a similar core belief in Muhammad (PBUH) being the last messenger from Allah (SWT) to mankind; and our belief stand on the fact that nothing is left to do as far as Tawheed is concerned; to us, Islam is Monotheism in its purest form, absolutely nothing is left to say in that area.
The entire life of the beloved prophet (PBUH) -through the message he was charged to deliver- was dedicated to connect us, in a way never seen before and which will never be seen after, with Allah (SWT) the Creator of everything, .
He left us in a face-to-face relationship with Allah (SWT); no one ever will come to disturb that relationship.
Whether we accomplish the obligatory prayer, whether we fast, whether we go to sleep, whether we put new clothes, whether we meet each other, whether wives and husbands engage in intimate relationship, whether we enter the bathroom, whether we give charity, whether we enter our houses or leave them, whether we are gratified with a new baby, whether we finish eating, whether…whether…whether, hundreds of situations, almost everything thing a Muslim does is connected to Allah (SWT) in a way or another; in all these situations Muslims are in constant remembrance of Allah (SWT); no wonder why it is called Islam (Submission).
That constant remembrance of Him could not have but one result: defeat Satan and his whispers and be a driver for doing good ever and ever for His pleasure. How can one commit adultery knowing his Creator is looking at him? How can he lie knowing his Creator is listening to him? How can he…? How can he…? Can one commit adultery in front of his mother? No, how come he can in the presence of His lord?
In every situation where one is tempted, the remembrance of Allah (SWT) helps him get over it. This is the result achieved at a personal level, what then if the city, if the country where one lives is also in constant remembrance of Allah (SWT) too? The result would a near perfect society: “
This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion” (Qur’an 5:3)
Some friends may argue the above is off-topic. May be in a way it is. I only touched upon a part of the message. The message testify to the truthfulness of the messenger.
What Allah (SWT) commanded Muhammad (PBUH)? " Say: I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith."(Qur’an 007.188)
May Allah (SWT) keep us in constant remembrance of Him. Amen.
Salaam.
Joseph.
