Prophetic vision of the past by Moses?

Gregory the Great says that Moses had a prophetic vision of the past.

He also says that Moses’ vision of the past, present and future enable us to trust Moses.

However, my question is: Was Gregory the Great the first to state this principle?

I have found it in only two places, St. Thomas and Gregory the Great.
