Hey look, ThinkingSapien, I found one! 😃
LOL
IMO, people that are constantly trying to disprove every single paranormal, supernatural event, have clear agenda of their own,
I don’t think I’ve encountered any one that is trying to disprove **every **supernatural event. I do know of people having motivations for wanting to disprove some though. A situation that immediately comes to mind is an associate with back problems whose family keeps paying money to a spiritual healer to remove her back pain. She would like to convince them that the spiritual healer won’t be able to do anything so that they will stop giving him their cash.

Well, a spiritual healer that continually takes someones money and never delivers what they promise, does sound a bit sketchy, but that not to say NO ONE can do what they claim, it just means, they havent fount them, and instead found a scammer trying to take advantage of peoples beliefs for financial gain…Id say the people that can truly do things like this, may not even ask for any money.

LOL…Or this may mean, we have alot of doubting thomas’s…in that wont believe unless something comes right up and bites them on the nose…and even then they would question if it was truly real or not.

IMO, people that are constantly trying to disprove every single paranormal, supernatural event, have clear agenda of their own, I dont think people like this would believe in the supernatural even if a ghost appeared right in front of them, they would try to find some explanation for it using modern science, etc. LOL

These people dont believe ANYTHING unless they can see it, touch it, etc.
They certainly do. Their agenda is to try to prove what is real and what is not.

There seems to be no shortage of people that make claims of a desired outcome whether through spiritual or other means; especially for (but not limited to) financial gain. There are also other incentives both material and social for claiming to be able to do such things.
but that not to say NO ONE can do what they claim
Nope, it doesn’t.

I would agree. Though I don’t think I would personally be inclined to automatically believe people that are not asking for money as I’ve also come across people that claim to have such abilities that are not asking for payment. To share a personal experience, when I was a child I remember being out helping my parents in the flower garden. A neighbor came over and ran into our house and locked all the doors. Then she threaded back and forth on the upper level of the house speaking in tongues being completely unresponsive to knocks at the door and verbal request to let us back in. My father summoned her husband and a ladder and they got in through a second story window and removed her from the house. She said that there was a demon living in the house and that God had told her to drive it out. And she didn’t ask for any payment for the service!

It spread because fallen man is already naturally covetous. If we can get God to back us up in it, even better yet!
There is something else to consider…the devil. He may be evil, but he isn’t stupid. He knows if he can make a person wealthy, they will make their treasure gold and will attach their heart to that. He has a lot of sources to make people wealthy. It seems they have control over material things including money. He could persuade one evil person to help another with money or position easily. Those who were once connected with the Devil say that money is not a problem when working for him.

So the prosperity gospel preaching wealth is not the gospel of Jesus, since he preached a simple life as he himself lived. If wealth were important he would have been wealthy.

May God bless and keep you. May God’s face shine on you. May God be kind to you and give you peace.
