I also give generously to the church, because I can. And because I know the church needs it. I’m not trying to make up for anyone else’s shortfalls. My gift is mine to give without reservations, questions, or “yes, but’s”. I don’t want to know what others are giving or not giving. It really doesn’t matter.

We’ve recently discussed at our church that during different times of our lives we’re able to give more time, at others more money. This is definitely a personal decision.

All those “things” the others have are just that “Things”; they are of the temportal world. God will give us what we need. And when he gives, he gives generously.

God Bless you.

Jaypeeto4,

You are fabulously, richly blessed to have repented. Also, you have been given opportunites to stretch to give. Keep your eyes upon this opportunity and do not let it pass you by. Pray to God that you take advantage of each opportunity, praying that what meager things you do or suffer may be of service to the Lord and his children. These opportunities properly taken advantage of could be so much more than the wealth of a kingdom dropped into a Church poor box. But that matters not. Just focus on what your Master has given you to do. Offer him your confusion on this issue and press on. Perhaps this too is one opportunity to overcome that you have been given.

If it helps console, the general judgment will come, and it will all be revealed. Whatever is going on with these people will be taken care of. If they are servants of the Lord, this will finally be clear.

:console:
