It’s not. The Baronius missal, for lack of a better term, is “stouter”.

According to the Baronius Press website, their missal measures 3.75" x 6.3". They don’t note the depth. But, as I recall, it’s considerably thicker than my Angelus.

According to my ruler, the Angelus Press missal measures 4.5" x 7 1/8" x 1 7/16".
Yeah, from what I’ve read, it’s become thinner due to thinner paper (not fewer pages), so the current depth – just measured mine – 1.75", still considerably thicker than the Angelus’. The Baronius’ is not as tall or wide either. Could be a tough fit.

For ease of comparison:
Angelus Press missal: 4.5" x 7.125" x 1.4375"
Baronius Press missal (2007 SP edition): 4" to 4.25" x 6.375" x 1.75"

This may seem an odd question, but now that I have my lovely Baronius Missal, can anyone suggest a way of protecting it?

It will be being carried around in my rucksack / bag etc as I go back and forth and I want to keep it looking good.

Do you protect your missal? How?
…get hold of some clear nail polish and paint the ribbon ends to prevent fraying, an alternative is to carefully the ends in half and snip a little to a centre point, this also prevents fraying. I bind my missal with a large wide rubberband to stop all the cards etc from falling out…

Go to a Christian book shop and scout for a bible cover/book cover they come in all sorts of colours textures (try googling bible covers for a stickybeak)…

the worn but loved look is my favourite but…
