Protection prayer against evil

The sign of the cross is also a good idea. And of course… merely the name of ‘Jesus’ is a powerful prayer in itself.
 
The Sign of the Cross. Evil despises the Cross of Christ. When done properly the Sign of the Cross is more than a simple gesture… It is a ceremony. It is an invocation of the Holy Trinity, and also is a profession of faith. Tertulian, an early Church Father, was but an blink of an eye away from the time of Christ and the Apostles and here is what he wrote… In all our travels and movements, in all our coming in and going out, in putting on our shoes, at the bath, at the table, in lighting our candles, in lying down, in sitting down, whatever employment occupies us, we mark our foreheads with the sign of the cross”

What kind of evil is concerning you?
 
You can’t go wrong with St Joseph. The only man to have had authority over the Virgin Mary and Jesus. The hand picked man by God to protect the Holy Family and whom St Andrew Bessette referred to as the Terror of Demons:

Hail to you Joseph,
On whom divine grace has showered his gifts.
Christ the Saviour rested in your arms and grew under your eyes.
Blessed are you amongst all men, and blessed is Jesus, the divine Child whom your virgin wife gave you .
Saint Joseph, whom the Son of God received as Father,
pray for us, with our problems – in our family, with our health and with our work
until our last days, and deign to come to our aid at the hour of death.
