Please pray to Jesus to grant me his protection from bad thought/s, temptations of my faith, sin against the Holy Spirit, and the grace for peace of mind, guidance, strength for me and my family to follow God daily, and for salvation of mankind for the greater glory of God, our King. Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Following Christ
Heavenly Father, please nurture me as a true disciple of Jesus so that I seek only to serve and to share my life for others, as daily I live my responsibilities and creative inspirations, following Jesus in trust, humility, purity of heart, and freedom of spirit.

Please centre me in Your love so that I desire Your will in everything, thus my thoughts and attitudes, words and acts, transformed by You, shall give You glory, serving charity, justice and peace for those I pray for or encounter.

By this means, my spiritual and material endowments shall be shared fraternally, again and again with others. Then You may look on me and find no fault in me, but rejoice in Your dearly loved child, formed in image of Jesus. With trust, I make this prayer in His name.

Commitment

God, for sake of souls, I commit myself and my entire life—past, present and future—to Your mercy and love. I welcome Your unlimited power to use me, not merely finitely, but infinitely, in Your service.

Have mercy upon everyone You wish to benefit through me, and do not let my limitations or doubts curtail Your use of me as vehicle of blessing to others or as vessel of honor to You.

My faults are fragile barriers to the flood of Your grace, as I live Your will and have faith in Your powerful love. I trust in Your love to accept this submission and make it complete. Deepen my trust in Your will to use Your limitless power of love even in me.

One life to give

Dear God, there are many beautiful, generous, wise and productive people in this world and throughout time. These ‘fully human, fully alive’ individuals are floodgates of abundant blessing to others and of great joy and glory to You.

I have many flaws and often make mistakes. I am inconsistent in charity, faith, wisdom and commitment. Forgive me, God. Yet even if I am less wise and less good than many others are, I have merely this consciousness, this body, this life that I can give You. There is no other self over whom I have right of decision and offering.

Only by Your miracles of grace can I give this ‘me’ totally, and in the way that You wish for Your delight and for others’ benefit. Please make it so, according to Your hope. September 2005

I consecrate my entire life to You. I cannot change others’ paths, but with Your Spirit, I can love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.
I have only myself to give. Please take all. Never let me go. Make me increasingly Your own. Let me live and accomplish, all that You dreamed of me from loving eternity. March 2005

Everything
My everything, our God, I give to You—every breath, each cell, all that I ever am, have or do.

Now I ask for Your everything—whatever You wish to give to me and to others through me.

Please nurture and grant this everything growth, blossom and fruit. Then that everything I do give to You—in time and eternity. 1982

Puddle to ocean

Infinite God, in Your compassionate love, behold my limited faith, and in mercy transform even my deficiencies, defects and failures into good.

Within the perfection of Your life and being, please transmute my otherwise ineffectual prayer and action, to make this little puddle into an immense ocean full of good things for other souls. Thus, may I worship and serve You beyond all limitations, within the infinite ocean of Your love. 1982

Consecration

God, You gave me gifts of life and faith. You bless them with the gift of pardon for my sins, and crown this with eternal salvation! You protect and nurture these blessings with the gifts of Your Word, of Your Sacraments, of Your Church, of Your Holy Spirit functioning within them.

Therefore, to You, in faith, I dedicate all these gifts, so that you may use them to serve Your word and Your people. Please grant that I so aptly, creatively, and fully steward these gifts that my life is a psalm of thanksgiving and praise to You. Amen. 1981

Seeking union with God

Our God, please do not allow us to interpret our desire for You as zeal for any ideal, activity, devotion, or person. Do not allow our passion for God to lead us to hidden selfishness. Inspire us with wisdom and discipline to seek You as we authentically serve each other.

I cannot make myself worthy of You. I come with my fragments of prayer, goodwill and kind acts, while others perhaps arise with extraordinary gifts to offer You, but we all have only trust in Your merciful Love, as means to union with You. Therefore, I pray, “Draw us. We will run” to You.

In our human poverty before You, we ask everything of Your mercy, for we are Your children and You are rich beyond imagination. If You require sacrifice, we offer the Sacrifice of Your Son, together with the sacrifices and goodness of countless saints though all ages. If You require selfless Love, fill our beings, ‘pressed down and running over’ with Your own Love. God our only God, unite us in Your Love.

Praise God

Praise to You our God, for Your love, opportunities, and blessings in our lives. We have tried to respond—yet perhaps not well enough. If we have curtailed Your plans, please heal our doubts and achieve Your purpose despite our flaws. Forgive our hurt when You seem not to listen or to respond. Accept our trust that You will overcome our barriers and fulfil Your dreams in our lives.

Amid Your blessings, there have been sufferings, sadness, and disappointments. Yet You intend all these graces and difficulties to break open our hearts to You. In every situation, fill us with peace, joy, gratitude, and love for You above all and others, as You desire.
We praise You for the hope, faith, love and gratitude that You rouse in us during our lives.

Thank You for those times when we appreciate Your love and gifts! Thank You for the delight and adoration that You inspire in us! Thank You for the times Your Spirit blesses others through us.

Praise God, our souls, within our fundamental choice! Praise God in our sleeping, in our waking, in our awareness, in our distractions, in our laughter, in our sorrows, in our actions, in our stillness, in our dying, in our rising.

“Have you not sometimes loved the Lord? Do you not love God now? Do you not long to love God forever? Therefore, do not fear! Even conceded that you had committed all the sins of this world, Jesus repeats to you: Many sins are forgiven you because you have loved much!” (Saint [Padre] Pio)

Least servant

God, I give You all I have and am, with my desires, attributes, inadequacies and sinful tendencies. To Your acceptance and disposal, I relinquish my spiritual ambitions, my lifelong prayer and service, and any ‘merit’.

Only pride or ignorance elevates any ‘virtues’ above my faults, because human nature is poor relative to Your infinite holiness and creativity. Let Your goodness be touchstone and essence of my response to all created things and persons—so that nothing can withdraw me from freedom of obedience to Your loving will.

To You I yield all my relationships, even those most dear. Let Your Spirit communicate and interact with them so that I no longer act selfishly and detrimentally to my own and others’ welfare, nor love anyone in preference to You.

I surrender to You all my thoughts, words and acts, so that You guide and complete all my responses and initiatives. Let Your Spirit flow creatively through my nature and action, so that nothing in me can confound Your loving purpose, nor will anything be inappropriate or harmful to any person.

Our God, I know that You pardon my sins. You give boundless recompense to anyone who suffers through my fault. You give limitless blessing to anyone who offers me even the smallest kindness, from earliest infancy until God unites me in beatific vision with the communion of saints.

I am Your child who has irretrievably surrendered all being, all gifts, all relationship, all virtuous effort, and all failure to Your merciful love. I claim You to be my whole existence, my breath, my blood, my very substance and all my thoughts and ways.

Your action may be hidden to me in my inglorious daily struggle, my erratic judgement and frequently fruitless endeavour. It may be concealed under my sense of unworthiness and occasional desolation. Yet may You continually blaze Your pure love and truth within me, to Your glory and delight, and to highest service of other souls. May 1983

Translate me into Your own terms

Dear God, I choose to love You truly and to allow You to love and serve others through me. I want to live Your dream of me fully, but I may misinterpret Your will and inspiration as it refracts through my emotions and mental processes. Please nevertheless fulfil all that You desire through my life and prayer.

Flood Your love to others though all my efforts and errors. Grant me faith, fidelity, wisdom and prayer. Recreate me in the fullness of Your will and fill me with Your love, for sake of Your honour and delight, and for salvation of souls.

Let me be the person who You dream me to be, so that Your desire for Yourself and for each soul You place in my care or influence is generously fulfilled.

Translate me into Your own terms as I come contritely and gropingly before You in humble trust, with my imperfect efforts. I know that You have mercy on good intentions even if these are misguided. Yet please let me know Your will—for You have said, “I will instruct you, and teach you the way to go; I will watch over you and be your adviser.” (Psalm 32: v. 8)

In the presence of God

Our God, I cannot see, hear, or feel You, but I am in Your presence. I gaze at You with faith that sees nothing yet believes. Trust in Your merciful love with hope in Your reality, brings peace even when my limitations and sinfulness barb my human heart.

I am inconstant and selfish, yet unafraid and hopeful, for You rejoice in the sincere, contrite person who comes trustingly before You. I welcome Your forgiveness for my sins and omissions, confident that You will glorify Yourself in me—by being my thoughts, my efforts, my love, my truth, my wisdom, my whole life, prayer, and existence!

As I have no merit of my own, so may You, the more, glorify Yourself in me! Please flood me with Your love, transforming me into Your substance. Thus, even if I remain in seemingly unconverted darkness, I shall be continual offering to You of the perfection of Your own all-creating, all-knowing, all-loving, all-good, harmonious, Love that created me.

Let Your love continually flow into anyone whose life touches mine, so that I am witness and experience of Your love for him or her. I pray, and trust, that You utter within me for others, all prayer that You desire to offer and grant in the love that issues from Your infinite presence.

Thank You God, for although I do not see, hear, or feel You, our God, I know that by Your life in me I am always with You. 1983

“Do not grieve…that you were born in a time when you can no longer see God in the flesh. That privilege was not taken from you. As Jesus says, ‘Whatever you have done for the least of my little ones, you have done for me.’” Saint Augustine.

God if I really knew Your love

Our God, I barely realise my blindness, deafness, and ignorance before You. I suspect the truths of Your love as distant music, though I yearn to know and love You. I desire to be pure, zealous and faithful after example of Jesus and Mary, so that through me, You may channel love and blessing to many others.

If I really knew You, God, if I knew Your love, goodness and power, Your ways and thoughts beyond all earthly kind, then what would I ask, seek, and offer to You and to others’ souls for Your sake! How would I live and serve, if I knew, and truly loved! What would I ask of You, of the Mother, of each Saint and Angel, in daring trust? These I ask anyway, although I am sinful, ignorant, and lukewarm!

My heart reaches out in quiet faith to the Father who is infinite Creator so great that He intimately cherishes each of billions of lowly creatures throughout the ages. My heart reaches out to follow the Son whom He surrendered to creaturehood and to death-that-rose, drawing each person into relationship with God. My heart reaches out to touch the Spirit, who transforms all things.

My self-interest undermines my spiritual vitality and efficacious service. I am an erratic, ordinary person, yet in Your intention, I am a glorious reflection of Your love.

No prayer and goodwill can free me from sinfulness, but with faith, I leap over this deadly barrier. For even as I strive or fail, I trustfully ask You to judge me neither by sin nor by merit, but only by Your love! Free me from Your judgement even in my flaws that may separate us or impede the flood of Your goodness through my life to others. I take to myself no merit to clothe my pride or to secure glory in heaven or on earth—so that You may apply these to other souls in need.

Our God, if by no judgement of my merit or sin do You love and act through me—then Your wisdom, goodness and life can engulf and flow from me to others. This music—of love and holiness, of You within us—may be pitched to perfection, beyond earthly perception. Yet please let each moment (each atom, all thought, word, and act, each frailty and each grace) of my life be transformed in Your love. Let it be formed into exquisite notes of Your eternal symphony to delight and praise You far beyond my understanding.

With faith, I offer You my daily duty and routine, with its joy, prayer, hope, and struggle. Let Your Spirit pray and fulfil in me all that I would become, seek, ask, and do, if Your love and truth were known to me. This, God is the lifelong prayer of this sinful, contrite, hopeful creature. November 1983

Jesus, pray in me

Jesus our Brother and our God, please continually pray Your perfect prayer in me so that I love and honour God, and so that I cherish and serve others in prayer and act, because each person is so precious to God.

Jesus, please ask the Father to honour my debts, for my intercession, penance and good works are no more than cheques drawn in His name. I have no coin of my own. Even my best efforts would be worthless if the Father failed to acknowledge me as His lawful child.

Jesus, You are Son of the Father and coequal of the Spirit. Only through Your incarnation, death and resurrection comes my claim to call God ‘Father’. No words or acts ever can thank You enough. I have little to offer but goodwill and effort and a heart sometimes grieved by unintentional injury of others. Yet I offer You resurgent hope raised by Your undeserved love, and faith encouraged by Your promise of faithfulness.

Please celebrate my trust in Your love and in the truth of who I am in the love of God. Heal any wounds I have left in others’ lives, and recreate our spirits in Your love. Then offer us as gift of Yourself to the Father who accepts all things through You.

Please take all the debts that by prayer for them, I incur for my sisters and brothers of the kingdom and of the world. Present these debts to the Father with Your transformation and blessing—for He will grant freely all that You ask and more, so deep is His love for You. Thank You, Jesus who are our redemption before God. (1980)

Intercession for our sisters and brothers

Our God, Creator of all beings on this planet, listen to my prayer for my sisters and brothers of this world as terrorism, materialism, corruption and sorrow surround us and as the growing power of anti-Christian morality and legislation assails us. Please send armies of Angels to attain victory for goodness and peace, to assist the innocent and the suffering, to suffrage, along with the Saints of Heaven, for the salvation of all humankind.

Our God, while acknowledging the horrors and sins of our time, we thank You for all valuable achievements and humanitarian efforts in medicine, research, law, and social services, despite misuse of aspects of these benefits. Please preserve the good, whilst purging what is contrary to love and justice.

Thank You for the love, generosity and heroism that glow forth from even from the most awful circumstances of our unsettled era. In these manifestations of goodness, You continue to reveal the presence of Your Holy Spirit who has remained with us in the goodness of all that is good.

Even in a period as astonishingly gifted and sinful as this, You build our salvation around our scars and limitations as well as around our blessings and giftedness, as Saint Paul teaches. Although flawed, we are called to be persons of faith with active and prayerful commitment to others in their needs.

We ask pardon and healing for our unlove or unforgiveness towards God, towards others, and to ourselves. Forgive our failures to succour others and pardon us where our poverty of faith and effort prevents the flow of blessings to others. Absolve and overcome sin or fallacy that retards the human and spiritual progress of anyone in our families and communities. Grant joy, peace and grace to everyone You desire to bless through us as You support our struggle to face each day with courage and devotion.

Give us optimism, empathy, prudence and generosity towards others. Confirm our faith that each person is Your loved child who is travelling by a personal path known to You. Unite us in heaven in beatific vision and love with all family and all known or unknown individuals whom You wish to serve through us.

Thank You, Spirit of God, who despite our foolishness and sins, remains with us through the centuries. Despite division and error, You continue to inspire and guide the Body of Christ. Lead humankind into awareness of ourselves as Your redeemed children and into universal acceptance of Jesus as our God.

Please restore humankind to its first image, recreating our world in wholeness and harmony. Out of present misery, please make a wonderful new creation of charity, wisdom, justice and peace. Universally establish Your Kingdom amongst us in this third millennium.

Look mercifully upon this troubled world, our God. Accept its enormous legacy of pain and loss, united with the exile, suffering and sacrifice of Your beloved Son, as reparation for sin and selfishness of so many persons in our age. Grant their salvation, and that of those whom they persecute. Lead us to love and support each other as a world family.

We plead for a better, more Christian age to come. “Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God,” in the achievements and the failures of this century and of the two millennia that have passed since Your incarnation and birth, “have mercy on us." You our God will fulfil Your desires in us because You love us. Thank You for this love and redemption that You grant us through Your Son!

Reveal the needy

Jesus, please inspire us with gospel love for others. Knowing that each person is Your beloved, we ask that You reveal those who are in need amongst us. Alert us to those who feel unable to request help or cannot believe in its availability. Alert us to those whose poverty or anxieties make life seem endless struggle. Alert us to the lonely, unwanted and forgotten ones, anyone whose self-worth desperately needs affirmation. Bring before us those who suffer disappointment, tragedy, or upheaval, and who need others’ support until they rethink their lives and attitudes.

Alert us to those who are scarred or crushed by sins or guilt, so that through us You may express Your forgiveness, love and acceptance of them, and encourage their reconciliation. Search out to us those who are in danger of losing their faith if no one shows them Christian love and witness. Reveal to us anyone whose ability to persevere hangs on another’s kindness, inspiration or friendship.

Alert those amongst us who would willingly serve if they become aware of another’s pain and need. Lead us to share our gifts with others with wisdom, cheerfulness, humility, gentleness and strength. In our dealings with others, let us bring living Christ.
Let those who are incapacitated or suffering offer their difficulties and joys to intercede for love and justice in our community and in our world. Let these blessed-deprived ones, along with all who are prayerful, unite their offering with the service of the prayerfully active, to bring Your kingdom of love amongst us.

Thank You for all healing and compassion that You activate in our hearts for others. We pray to act upon this compassion to assist each other in appropriate and valuable ways.

Truth and unity through the Spirit

Our God, You see the unworthy, vacillating person that I am but You also see the wonderful being who You created me to be! Loving me thus, through Your Spirit make me so. Through grace and Sacrament, please in my life exemplify the beatitudes and bring Your gifts to fruit, so that I embody gospel love and truth.

With Jesus, I trust You to remain with me forever so that I may know, love, and belong completely to You; and that I may understand, remember, and obey all that Jesus taught. I trust Your Holy Spirit to prove through Your truth to the unbelieving and to myself, that we are wrong regarding modern views of sin, life, and judgement so we return to gospel truth in the Body of Christ.

Holy Spirit, I trust You to help me retrain my thought patterns to make me perceptive, discerning and mature. Make my prayer inspired and efficacious. Speak clearly in my thoughts, words and actions. Give me trust in Your inspiration and indwelling. Make me gentle and compassionate even in times of stress. Give me generosity to joyfully serve every person as Your beloved. Let Your love flow gently through me to everyone whom my life touches, healing and blessing us and giving us true peace.

Holy Spirit please come down on me, and make me whole; and make me one with the Father, the Son, and Your holy Self, together with all who serve through Your power. Spirit of God, through the merit of Jesus, please transform every thought, word and act of my life, into pure, loving, loveliness in the sight of the God. October 1980 [Based on St. John’s gospel]

Contrition
Our Father, I have sinned against others, against myself, and against You. I am unworthy to be Your child. I have offended Your goodness and Your dream of who I really am. I may have denied You the joy of blessings that You wish for me and for others through me. You alone know the entire consequences of my failure. Yet Jesus assures us that You joyfully celebrate my return from sin, and run to welcome and reclaim me as Your own. I want to value myself as Your child, knowing that all worth and holiness comes from You.

In trust, I will not accuse myself for sins already forgiven and absolved or for temptation if I have not actually sinned. I believe that temptation can be overcome by Your grace, inspiring greater faithfulness to the Gospel and the Sacraments.

Look on those tasks of love and service that I fail to undertake or to complete, and bring them to completion. Please bring out of my failures, such fruits of these new opportunities enhanced beyond all previous expectation, for from our human betrayal of Your divine plan of Creation, Your mercy wrought the magnificent plan of redemption that reverberates through time and eternity!

In Your mercy, please transform into good all that in weakness or ignorance I may spoil. Please grant blessing that is abundant beyond original possibility, to anyone I ever harm or deprive. May I so belong to You, may I be so transformed by Your love, that my faults no longer are sin or offence in Your sight and can foster nothing that impedes Your will. This, my soul in trusting confidence implores.

Thy will be done

Our God, self is a subtle thief—the avenue by which sin drains time, resources, and sadly, Your children, away from You in compromise and self-seeking.

Awareness of my faults and failures makes me doubt that You can use me for Your loving purposes. Through such doubt, I can frustrate Your desires in me and cheat others of unique graces You intend for them through me. My humanity with its gifts, can steal me from You.

Yet, our God, You chose to use for Your Son ‘frail human flesh’ to obtain our fallen nature’s redemption. You watched Him laugh and weep, eat and walk with sinners and with ordinary people as He taught Your love and will. You saw Him touch and heal disease and sin…resist temptation that His humanness gave Him…and achieve submission and faith even in abandonment and death.

Through Jesus, You therefore give me confidence to ask You to hold me always in Your presence and in Your love and service through all the vicissitudes of my life. You give me courage to know that when I ask You to use me to the fullest extent of Your will, it is not pride, but humility—for I am nothing in myself, but in You, all is possible.

Leave me not simply in this knowledge, our God, but for sake of others, whom You created me to serve, please continually love through me. Let me discern the difference between my interpretation and Your will itself, so that Your perspectives become mine.

Hold me always in Your arms and keep my eyes on Your Face. Bathe me continually in Jesus’ blood and fill me with His life. Thereby, You may be glorified and shown to Your people that they may be drawn closer for the fact that You have given me existence and faith. Thank You, God, because by Your Love You will accomplish these. August 1980

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

I deeply thank you for responding to my earnest prayer request for protection from our Lord Jesus I believe God have granted our prayers because i really have peace of mind and protected and which if we have not prayed or I have not asked for your prayers to God it was like the problem I have was between life and death to me. Thank you so much for helping pray for me and I desire that you continue to pray for me the same petition I have asked you to pray as I will also pray for you as we are brothers/sisters in Christ. I earnestly request. God bless us. Amen.

I thank you all. As Christian we all need each other. As the maxim goes, “No man is an island.” I thank and pray for all those who pray, prays and prayed for others. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
