Then you have aproblem with Christ’s words.
How do we know if they are interested or not if we don’t try. In the end they may, of course, accept or reject.
Was it really that necessary ??
Suppose I would annex a country for no matter what reason ??
After all , those people might be interested ??
How about the right to free association? If you disapprove of their
stance on marriage, don’t be a member.
I agree !!
Besides , I am not a member of the rcc
(since many years) !!
Do I have a right to dictate their doctrine on any of their sacraments? Certainly not!
I Agree !!
If I want to receive the Eucharist in a Catholic Church, I must accept their teachings and join. Same with a Catholic who wants to receive in my Church.
True !!
So , for those gays who want to be catholic
and want to marry , it would be better off
to made their own catholic religion , right ??
Once again, your argument is with scripture.
yes , that’s true !!

Still waiting for someone to provide some support for the “Church will be forced to do things they don’t like” claim…

Let me try this angle:

When was the last time the Catholic Church was sued for refusing to marry two individuals, both of whom are not Christian, on the basis of religious discrimination?

Better yet, when had the LDS Church ever been sued for providing a “seperate yet equal” marriage policy concerning race? (Prior to 1978, the Mormon Church would not allow Blacks into their temples. Since a temple marriage is revered in the LDS religion while secular/church style marriages aren’t, essentially Black Mormons were forced to be married “only until death” while White Mormons were allowed to enjoy the alleged benefits of a Temple marriage).

I believe religious and racial discrimination have much longer precedents than do sexual orientation discrimination and yet I’ve never seen a church forced to compromise their standards on other religions and/or race.

So why on earth would you believe sexual orientation would be any different?
