Dear Friends,

The notorious pro-homosexual parish of Most Holy Redeemer did it again this year: It marched in the San Francisco “gay shame” parade. And thus far no public statement has been issued by San Francisco archbishop George Neideraurer or the archdiocese condemning MHR’s participation and promising to put a stop to their abominable participation.

Watch the following video clips, from the QDomine website, of Most Holy Redeemer marching in the debauched spectacle, and then contact the offices below to voice your outrage. Demand immediate, public disciplinary action and a commitment by Archbishop Neideraurer to put a stop to MHR’s homosexual-affirming antics. — Allyson

Going to MHR’s website, I interpret it in line with the current Bishops’ statement on the sticky around here. I do not see this as any formal Church endorsement, but a way of outreach in the community. It fits in just fine with MHR’s mission statement on their front page.

They have a welcoming community for all. Having a welcoming community is what is expected, the doors should not be shut on them. I see the parade as just a group going as a group of people and not a church-sanctioned outreach.

This is shameful and disgusting. I hope the bishop does something drastic to this parish.

Well… That was truly disgusting! I couldn’t believe how so many children were at the parades. The nudity aside… these people were being totally heathen the way they were fondling each other in public. What was with the S&M stuff? This wasn’t a gay pride parade, it was a rebellious attempt to insult anyone with any morals at all! I seriously think that it is an all out assault on morals and it was evil. How do you people in CA stand it? I would ban my kids from going out on the streets, watching the news, etc…

I forced myself to watch the 4 minute video in order to be able to comment on this topic.

I am blown away that the archbishop has not clamped down on the parish and that adoption group.

I was very relieved to see that the attire of those representing the parish and the adoption group wore regular clothes. There was no nudity, there were no obscene gestures.

Still, participating at all seems so wrong.
It’s one thing for a parish to support those wtih SSA seeking to live according to Church teaching and another thing completely when the parish endorses and supports homosexual lifestyles, extending to helping homosexual couples adopt children.

I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for Archbishop Neiderauer to say anything against the culture of death. Even though many of us protested by e-mail and phone, he attended the commencement at the University of San Francisco in May to accept an honorary degree. The commencement speaker was pro-abortion politician Nancy Peloso, who calls herself Catholic. A posthumous honorary degree was also awarded to pro-choice politician Leo McCarthy.

Instead of doing what a bishop should do (speaking firmly about what a Catholic institution should stand for, and refusing to attend or accept his honorary degree), Archbishop Neideaur’s presence at the commencement and acceptance of his honorary degree demonstrated his approval of the university’s actions and approval of the culture of death. : (

Let’s keep praying for our leaders, both Church and political.
