Protestant big guns on these forums

My dear Zooey! Chopped liver? I think not. My favorite Methodist who is most Catholic. My favorite Yankee who is Confederate.

I haven’t interacted with the good Rev. Dr. North but I’ve read many of his posts and he ranks up there.

And then there is my friend Truthstalker and TraditionalAng as well.
 
From what I observed on these forums…RevDrNorth, Contarini, and Mosart250 are the big guns so to speak.
Then there is Zooey…she has her own category. I don’t know what it is but it is a good one. 🙂
Then there is Allforhim…Always disagreeing but in a charitable way 👍
And there is Truthstalker…Now he keeps falling in the Tiber but some how always ends up swimming back to the non-Catholic side…I think he is a double agent. :eek:
There are a lot more, but these are the ones that come to mind…

hmm last time I heard that word (pester) was from my great granny B.
 
Well, as far as the ones whose posts I always look forward to (or hope to see) in threads, I’d have to say it’s O.S. Luke, RevDrNorth, Zooey, Contarini, and GKC (although I know he doesn’t consider himself a Protestant).

I agree with both of these lists. I’ll also add TraditionalAng, Syele, The_Truthinator, GraceSeeker, SyCarl, Chris LaRock and KittyChan.
 
GKC is Catholic, he just doesn’t know it yet. Some of us have to figure it out on our own time. Maybe he is one of those. Give him space OK?

My prayer is that, like me, he will be ahead of any sort of Anglican/Roman “reconciliation” and join the “team” sooner than later.

Aww Thanks lak611! I figured I wasn’t listed much cause I tend to get “snarky” when agitated. 😉 I learned that word here on CAF… Snarky.

I don’t have a days theological training in my life. My thing is pianos and databases.

Now you take Edwin (Contarini) he’s a “big gun”. He’s probably forgotten more than I know.

Speaking of Edwin, he is a rare breed of a person who really knows his stuff plus he really doesn’t seem to have an agenda. Therefore, when he states something as factual, I don’t really sense I have to take it with a grain of salt.

I had to laugh when I read this. I was raised herding cattle. One of the trickier jobs is getting a group inside a pen, all moving single file up a ramp into a truck. Its easy getting them to move in the direction you want as long as the way is wide; but when they sense the way is getting narrower some get what we would call “snarky”. These would try to turn around and go back against the flow. I’ve seen full grown cows rear up on two feet, do a pirouette and come down going the opposite way just to avoid going into the truck. Never knew it had a theological meaning, though.

As for my own time, I’ve been looking at the issues for about 35-40 years, and this where I’ve gotten to.So far.

(But I do know I’m Catholic).

I take a little different approach.
Including Catholic and non-catholics, the big ones are the one with zero number of posts. 😃 You never known, there are quite many who just read and they are the most charitable and faitful Christians.

No, in all honesty, whenever I see a thread about Anglicanism somewhere I just think “alright, GKC needs to post here.” I don’t know anyone with so much knowledge on both sides of the issue.
 
Problem is no matter how big a gun they are they are still dead wrong.
 
would a “big gun” be out to do harm or to help others grow in their faith ?

And, is chop liver kosher? :confused:

Anglicanism in a post attracts me, that is true. But I can think of a couple of folks here who know as much, if not more, than I do, of both sides of the river.
