What church do you belong to, and what do you believe about the souls of those who aren’t born again (using your definition of born again)?

This is what the CCC says about babies who aren’t baptised.

“As regards children who have died without Baptism, the Church can only entrust them to the mercy of God, as she does in her funeral rites for them. Indeed, the great mercy of God who desires that all men should be saved, and Jesus’ tenderness toward children which caused him to say: “Let the children come to me, do not hinder them,” allow us to hope that there is a way of salvation for children who have died without Baptism. All the more urgent is the Church’s call not to prevent little children coming to Christ through the gift of holy Baptism.” (CCC 1261)”

Reading this, I wondered what some of the Protestant churches say about those who haven’t been baptised (or born again).

What do you beleive happens to children who die before being baptised?

And what about older children and adults? What do you believe happens to older teens and adults who haven’t been born again (including Catholics who have been baptised and confirmed, if you believe that they haven’t been born again.)?

Jesus said(St. John 3:5) except a man be born of water and of the spirit,he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Babies who at birth die are in heaven with the Lord. Adults and older teen and older childern who have not repent of their sins or born again will not go two heaven but hell.Rev 20:12 -I saw the dead , small and great stand before God; and the books were open another book was open, which is the book of life vs15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast in the lake of fire. When one repent and put his or her faith in Jesus Christ his or her name is sign in the book of life. That what we pentecostal no for a fact.😉

I am a member of the Society of Friends. Friends believe that God is at work in each and every individual to bring them into relationship with Himself.

The Light Within…“the Light which enlightens every man” makes provision to offer grace and mercy to all who would respond to this Light. It isn’t a matter of believing on the Latinized/English transliteration of the Jewish name of Yeshua…but following the promtings of the Light to do good, love one another, live at peace with all men as far as it depends on us…offer water to those who are thirsty or food to those who are hungry…not because we expect some “heavenly reward” but because it is the right thing to do for the “least of these” who we discover is the very Light Incarnate in our world…“if you did it to these…you did it to me.”

It is God alone who is Judge…only God knows the heart and only God knows how the Light has been revealed to each individual…it is not a matter of mental or emotional ascent to “beliefs”…“beliefs” that have no affect on the lives of those who claim to “believe” them…isn’t belief at all…“walk in the Light as He is in the Light.”.

Heaven will take care of itself…NOW…right now in this life is what is truly important…each of us are here to be “incarnations” of the Light Within…each of us to be mirrors of His grace to a hurting world…heaven and eternity begin now…not at some future time.

True “baptism” doesn’t occur with water…but in Spirit…“a man can enter the waters of baptism a dry sinner and exit a wet sinner…but no one baptized in the Holy Spirit can remain the same.”

So how do you account for this passage of scripture from Romans 2?
5 All who sin outside the law will also perish without reference to it, and all who sin under the law will be judged in accordance with it.
13
For it is not those who hear the law who are just in the sight of God; rather, those who observe the law will be justified.
14
For when the Gentiles who do not have the law by nature observe the prescriptions of the law, they are a law for themselves even though they do not have the law.
15
They show that the demands of the law are written in their hearts, 6 while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even defend them
16
on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge people’s hidden works through Christ Jesus.
