Protestant Christians: What would you like to see the next Pope accomplish?

Id like to see the pope encourage bishops to set up seeker parishes in big cities, with specially-trained clergy whose mission is to slowly bring seeking Protestants and newly-converted ex-Protestants to the fullness of Tradition, without heaping it all upon them at once.

Without compromising liturgical orthodoxy, it is possible to licitly omit things that cause discomfort for Protestant visitors and newly converted ex-Protestants. For example, it’s not an obligation to pray the Rosary before Mass. It’s not an obligation to pray to anyone other than the Godhead, except in the very few instances where the liturgy includes such prayers. Medals, scapulars, statues, icons can all be toned down without compromising the authenticity or dignity of Catholic worship. These are little things that completely shut out Protestants and yet are not at the heart of the Catholic faith.

Unlike hard-line traditionalists, I don’t see the Novus Ordo mass as being a threat to Catholicism, but rather to Protestantism. I see the Novus Ordo mass as a great opportunity to use the Mass to draw Protestants to the Catholic faith. When they’re ready, they can move on to the Traditional Latin Mass.

No. To try to get it stopped worldwide. It is one of the worst evils in this world.
Ok good, man I was like whoa I don’t know that he can have a radical stance with what the Church has thought for such a long time. I mean no disrespect, but almost all Popes, especially those since the 1960’s since abortion began to be a hot topic especially here in the USA. Popes have said no to abortion. I mean they tell us over and over, don’t have abortions, theirs others means. But also the responsibility is on us as adults.

I’m with you I do hope less people use abortion as a way out.

I’d love to see the continuation of the Catholic church educating and teaching the Catholic faithful. The world needs stronger Catholics.

Maybe, I’m projecting, because I’d like my church to continue with it’s catechesis.

Not a protestant, but infalliably denounce his own claim to infallible declerations and univsesal jurisdiction.

How can one denounce a gift from God? Infallibillity is simply the belief in the promise of God that the Holy Spirit will lead the Church into all truth.

Bottom line? It will never happen.

and thats ultimately where we differ huh?

Some impact on the slaughter of millions of people through convenience abortions.

The strengthening of the faith and the unity of churches and denominations around the world as both faith in, and those who hold faith in Christ face an ever-advancing threat.

Yes, I mean possibly even some reunification. This is not impossible, Benedict XVI has begun the good work.

In general the encouragement of fruitful multiplication through loving marriages rather than voluntary infecund and/or disordered lifestyles would be good, too.

How about a clear straight forward salvation message.

The Pope could build on this verse:

John 6:51
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Of course those who eat of the bread of life have already professed their faith in Christ as Lord and Savior (Rom10:9), repented of all there sins, and should have been Baptized (Acts 2:38).

:ehh:

I’m not a Protestant, but I wish that the next Pope is the Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi from Lebanon. The Christians in the Middle-East are facing very hard times, and I think someone from this region would be the most placed to know how to deal with the situation.
Also, I appreciate Rahi’s attempts at building bridges between different religious groups, like he’s doing in his country (Lebanon).
