I apologize to you if I have offended you. I have always respected the tone and demeanor of your posts.

I stand by my analysis that publisher posted an offensive article and then in defense, he posts a similar insult by writng this: I do not believe anything “mytical or magical” is occuring to the bread and wine.

I am not a fan of this type of insult while trying to play the victim.

Nevertheless, we are called to forgive seventy times seven --and I forgive publisher for any offense he has committed knowingly or unknowingly.

I hope that he will also forgive me for any offense I have committed against him.

May everyone’s Lenten journey be fruitful.

I consider it the works part of our faith!

One of the reasons Friends do not put “faith” in rituals and rites is because unless those rituals and rites engender true spiritual change and cause the believer to go deeper into Christ…they are no effect

**if **partaking in the eucharist calls you to be gentle, merciful, compassionate, longsuffering with others and you see the face of Jesus in others…then Friends believe the “goal” of such “rituals” have been met.

if partaking in such rituals make no outward change…

**if **such rituals do not cause a deep spiritual awakening but instead cause anger and scorn for others…we wonder…why such stress is placed on “empty forms”
