I admire your spirit but…good luck with that.
They don’t want to discuss, only preach to their own choir.
You might want to ask “Whispering Grace” just what “the protestant faith” is. She made it sound as though there is one faith shared by all of them and I do believe she’s off by about 35,999 faiths.

You will notice that they have a couple of Eastern Orthodox there - funny, but they have no problem with them even though they are about 99% Catholic, lol.

I’ve been dealing with whispering grace on the other forum. You should see how much trash there throwing at me. Check it out.

Are we talking about two separate, distinct forums here? bibleforums and baptist.org? Oh wait–I can look for myself.

I see they closed the thread already. Gee…I’m shocked. NOT!
And Andrew_11, you were correct, it’s their way (whatever that might be :whacky: ) or the highway.

We need to get more people to view my thread on thier website so they can see the closed minded attitude so many people have towards catholocism. Do you think I was disrespectful or anything, cause I was really trying to restrain myself. I think more of us should post threads over there.

I just signed up for the baptist.org forum but I noticed that I can’t post on most forums. On the Catholicism forum, it says that I have no priviledges to post or reply. How does one get permission to post anything on there? I haven’t even declared myself Catholic yet either.

They had a few too many knowledgable Catholics show up on baptist.org in the past week or so, and shut it down to all except the moderators. Amusing, but hey, its there board, if they don’t want to hear any contrary voices, that’s their choice.

Okay, I see. Well, I’m an ex-southern baptist so I"m not surprised. When I have discussions with my mother at some point she ends up saying, “I know what I know what I know…end of discussion.”

Does anyone have the link to that masturbation question? I have a couple of questions I 'd like to ask

Just got an email from the moderator indicating that for awhile, they are tightening things up because wolves have come into the flock. They make it clear that any post promoting baptismal regeneration, pentecostalism, cambellism, protestantism, or mormonism will be deleted.

Doesn’t sound like much of a free exchange of ideas to me. But, when you do not have reason on your side, I guess force and control will do.

I signed up over there, but I can’t even see the Catholic forum. Can anyone provide a link?

Just remember that the walls of Jericho fell to a trumpet.

I’m sure God can help you break down the walls of this forum 🙂

I apologize, but, I am not going to look. Nothing against you, Andrew_11, but, I don’t look at any of the Protestant websites that do not allow free speech and just spew hate. I don’t do it with baptist.org because I don’t need to become upset at how divided Christianity is and how much they do not want to listen and feel helpless because I really cannot do anything about it. I have to deal with Protestants daily in reality; I don’t need a website to bash my faith. I also do not do it because I do not need to feel any more pride concerning us having the correct faith and Protestants as ignorant. IF they want to believe what they believe after everything shown to them, then there are a few possibilities, 1) They are proud & just want to support whatever they have to to make sure that they are correct. 2) They believe what you are saying, but, cannot, for the life of them, believe it themselves, for whatever reason. I have dealt with pride in Protestants before. It easily rubs off on me and causes me to become defensive & uncharitable, and I cannot participate. HOWEVER, you have my prayers as to bring these people to the truth. (I know, you don’t want prayers, you want action & people here helping you, but, this is what I can do.)

Just one more thing: It seems that this group is also anti-nonbaptist protestant. When I was growing up, I regularly encountered the attitude that baptists are saved, protestants (baptists were not considered protestants) might be saved but it seemed that not many actually were, and Roman Catholics are all damned (except for the very rare “born again” catholic who is in disobedience by staying in the false church.

Baptists are known for being the least ecumenical of protestants and the hardcore baptists deny they are protestants. We were always taught to believe that Luther was a heretic and the baptists were the true New Testament church descended from John the Baptist. Our forefathers were, of course, : Montanists, Cathars, Albigensies, etc. 😉
