Which is a perfectly intelligible position - but (there always is one), how good is your understanding of Cath. theol.? It isn’t the tripe that too often passes for “Catholic apologetics” 😦

Isn’t your handle Dispensationalist ? (I saw your sig…)
He is. He is a follower of Scofield the Protestant who came up with the doctrine of dispensationist.

No I do not hate Jesus. When I am free of mortal sin I received Jesus Christ at Mass. You Protestants do not even have real presence of Jesus Christ. Even if you claim you do, your Holy Orders are null and void.

and why should I hold your Church any credit when they ordain women priest and allow gay priests as bishops. Your Bishop even say homosexual is not a sin.
You are just like the pharasies that scoffed at Jesus because his preachings didn’t follow their teachings.

This is an abject lie and proof that you are ignorant of anything outside of your regulated little box.

Would you mind backing that up with something substantial, or am I going to have to take your word for it; that I hate Mary indirectly, without realizing it?

:rotfl: :rotfl:

If it wasn’t for the fact that you seem to be serious; this would be downright hilarious!
If you realized the truth, and you love Christ, you would be Catholic… certainly we know that some truths escape your knowledge and/or acceptance.

The problem with subtle humor is that it is subtle…

To answer your question, I added the specifics per Catholic apologist request.

I follow the Bible. I do not own a Scofield Bible and I do not know anyone in my church who does. Saying that all dispensationalist follow Scofield is not accurate. But that is fine. I am always happy to answer any questions about what I believe for those who are curious about it. I cannot imagine why BUT if you are bored enough…

I realize the truth, and I love Christ, and I am part of the Church Catholic, but not the RC church.

Claim disproven.

Wrong again, oh wayward one. For starters, your priest aren’t even validly ordained. You are what we call one of our separated brethren, in that you believe in Christ, but are lost in false beliefs. In order to have no error in faith and morals, you must believe the truths Christ has protected via the papacy and Magisterium. In fact, the RCC Bishops have claimed that due to no valid priesthood nor valid Eucharist, these cannot be called proper Churches. Your faith system was started by a heretic. How can that be good? Please don’t try this nonsense about knowing the Truth, because you do not. One cannot know the Truth, love Christ and continue to be Protestant! Infallible truth and Protestantism are incompatible. That’s is truth.

Your sister Church in the US allows this, SIA. It’s the truth even though your own Church does not accept the liberal viewpoint of homosexual ordaination.

I already made my point. Your religion is man-made.

We don’t hate Mary, But we don’t believe in lifting up anyone but God, That includes our leaders.

Apostolic succession is a dime a dozen. Lots of these churches have them. What is important is doctrine. Following the teachings of Jesus. That is what we do.
dime a dozen??? beside the CATHOLIC church show me one church that has apostolic succession. grow up! there is only one church that JESUS founded and it’s in rome.

ALL religion is man-made, it is our interpretation of how to worship and serve The Almighty. Look at the catholic church, throughout the years doctrine has been added and rules have changed due to men making those decisions.

Now, that is not to say that churches don’t include God in their process but the fact remains: religion is man-made & a relationship between God and His people is His creation.

All, except one. Check Sacred Scriptures, which tell you Christ built His Church. If Christ built it, it cannot be manmade.

Since Christ established the Church here on earth who has then decided what doctrines are to be followed and which are heresy? Men. In the beginning, the devotion to Mary was not prominent but then down the line it all of a sudden is. The Assumption of Mary wasn’t even a dogmatic belief of the catholic church until Vatican II from what I understand.

Religion is man-made, the Church & our relationship with Christ is a Godsend! 🙂 Christ is not a religion, He is a way of life and should be all the water our souls thirst for. He encompasses us and our Faith is more than just how we worship or serve Him, it is our very being - without Him we have no hope nor purpose for Life.

Most Protestants who have issues with Marian doctrine of the Church do not realized it that when they preach this, they are doing it out of the hatred of Mary indirectly.
I started to read this thread…and only made it to the bottom of the first page…

Manny, as Catholic as I am… I have to agree with some of the people (non-Catholics) who have commented in the negative to this.

I truly understand what you are saying and the point your were trying to make…but to lump all Protestants together… on this issue was not right. Lutherans, and others do not have the same views as Baptists and SBC’s and a few others where Mary is concerned. And I also believe that there are other non-Catholic denominations that hold Mary in very high regard.

Any non-Catholic who is true to the Reformers and their established views…cannot be “anti-Mary”…because even the Reformers (Luther, Calvin, Zwingli) held Mary to be what we Catholics believe she is, or at least to a great extent.

Yes, I have known some Baptists and Southern Baptists, and some so-called “non-denominationals” who have said some extremely blasphemous words regarding Mary… But I cannot say that about all the “Protestants” that I know.

I think this was one time that “lumping” many under one label was wrong…😦

Actually, with Catholics…devotion to Mary has been around far longer than many may realize. I’ve known it all of my life… 58 years. My grandmother who passed in 1970 at 83 told me much on the subject. My mother…in her 80’s now is named after Mary.
You just see and here more…because the media venues are much greater…and people feel freer to speak out, both on the positive as well as the negative…especially since the advent of the internet…

Good points! 🙂

Christ loves us all, why don’t we follow His lead?
Yes, we should, and this is what Catholicism teaches. So, does that mean you love His mother, Mary as much as He did? Christ is the Head of His Church, the Catholic Church. To continue the point, Christ did not break a commandment, so He honored His mother. Do you honor her, as He did?
