In conversation with a Protestant, he quotes from a book that says the following:
Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyman according to what he has done”. The righteous will be rewarded according to deeds done in the body. Christians need to be reminded that we will stand before God, and that we stand to lose rewards even though our salvation is secure (1 Cor. 3:13-15). The Christian will never again be judged for salvation, however he most defintely will be present at the judgment and will be judged to determine the amount of reward he shall receive"
I would like to ask our Protestant friends to explain what “rewards” will be lost. I understand that this quote is a all about eternal security, that once you are saved you can never lose your salvation but what are these “rewards” that one can lose?
