And you want to know something strange? When we orient ourselves vertically at Mass, instead of horizontally, and give first priority to the worship that is due to God, instead of focusing on ourselves and our neighbors and all the goofy ice-breaking activities, all the community and one-big-family stuff takes care of itself. We are all one in our common purpose and focus on God; one with the saints in heaven and the souls in Purgatory; and one especially in Holy Communion. This is a taste of the Communion of Saints.

Are we all one big family as Catholics? We are the body of Christ…are we not? Did I miss something:shrug:

Ummm…this website says, in essence, that John Paul II, who is about to be beatified, was a heretic; and if you go to the home page, you will find an article about how the bishops of today are not true bishops.

Incidentally, the St. Michael Prayer is still said. Every Low Mass I have attended has been followed by the three Hail Marys, the Hail Holy Queen and the St. Michael Prayer.

Whoops! Sorry about that link. I used the link for the purpose of explaining Pope Leo’s vision. I checked it for statements insulting to the Church and missed that one. The information about Pope Leo’s vision is truthful but I agree that Pope John Paul II was not a heretic and was actually a heroic man. I condemn any site that writes such things and will make an effort in the future to make sure my links are not directed to offensive sites.

I have indeed read about the Leonine prayers from other sources. We should never have stopped saying the St. Michael prayer. There is no High Mass and Low Mass with the Novus Ordo, so where the older form of the Mass fell into disuse, so did the prayer; but it is still said after Low Mass. With the resurgence of the Extraordinary Form, it will be said more and more.
