You can’t say they are “alright.” We do not know the final judgement of God on them. Saying that they are “alright,” would further promote separation due to ignorance to the point that they’ll avoid learning about it. Neither could we say that they are not going to be saved. We just can’t judge either way. But, we could hope and pray for the salvation of all.

Only God can judge someone’s state of ignorance. Invincible ignorance is always a possbility but in this day and age, I’d say invincible ignorance has got to be extremely rare.
I do not believe Protestants fall into the category of ignorance. They are a click or a voice away from any information they could ever want on the subject. Yet they are trained to immediately deny many facts, even basics such as as the fact that their churches didn’t even exist before the 16th century. When presented with Catholic facts, most Protestants reject them or don’t want to hear about them. THAT would NOT be ignorance, but rejection and they would be liable for that.

I guess I mispoke. I meant that they are alright in that they (hopefully) did not DELIBERATELY reject Christ’s Church. I guess I made an assumption and assumed that they whole-heartedly and sincerely believed the Church to not be His Church. I of course have no idea how they are to be judged.

Not really. Protestants have most certainly not been a minority discriminated against in this country as Catholics have. The term anti-Protestant is ineffective. Protestant means a protest “against Catholicism”. So, what is an anti-Protestant? An anti-anti-Catholic?

If you “know” the Truth that is. But how does an individual actualy “know” what we say is Truth? If one’s heart is so full of pride that even if God said the Truth to them face to face and still they denied it then they are doomed. But if they would accept it then they would not.

You said what I meant.

Ultimately, one has to let go of pride and ask God.

A Catholic who is Catholic for the wrong reasons suffers the same fate, eh?
