Hello all brothers and sisters in God!
Can anyone tell me what it means when protestants use the meeting at Ephesos 431 as a excuse for an opening to worship Mary in a “heathen” way. This person says; “That the common ways of worship Mary as Mother of God became recognized as dogma at the meeting. Mary got honored with the title Theotokos. This became the opening for an heathen way of worshipping Mary.The result of this we can see today in the Catholic world. The heathen godessess Isis and Astarte is called “Queen of heaven”. Kybele was titled; " all holy’s Mother”. All this titles is practiced nowadays, in unsignificant variations, on Mary. As the Queen of heaven is she today more highly ranked than all the Angels and the holy saints in heaven, and just below God in rank. This you can call an “outrage”!. And he goes on qouting from Cathecism CCC nr.925 and continues saying that; “in the Catholic Church you buy the whole package” end of quote.
Please help me with this how to answer to this outrage!
