): How does a devout Catholic make sure to **maintain **this true perspective, and not surpass it to
bypass Christ in his/her enthusiasm to honor Mary, and
start thinking of Our Lady as an “additional” or “alternative” source of these salutary blessings, rather than a loving conduit? Isn’t that a powerful temptation, when cultivating a strong relationship with her? Is avoiding this a conscious effort, or does the right balance just start to come naturally in most Catholic prayer lives? Is it a matter of constant self-reminding? Or put another way, what does cause some (SOME) Catholics to seem (SEEM) (from the Protestant perspective, anyway) to go overboard with Mary, to the point of never seeming to remember just Who exactly it is she is actually reflecting and serving?
My brain is starting to hurt. (Overworked?? Underpowered??? I’d love to be able to move past this, stop pestering people (HA --As If !!), and start involving myself in other topics on this great forum…) Thanks for the patience; Blessings.
