Nope. Catholics still disobedience to the 10 commandments as sin. But Protestants. Well, they’ve struck out adultery by allowing divorce. Then there’s the allowing of contraception, gay marriages, homosexual sex.

But what can you expect of churches not guided by the Holy Spirit. These transgressions are really just par for the course.🙂

Hi Ben, 👋

Sweetheart, lets not forget " Thou shall not Kill with their pro- choice beliefs." I am suprised that a SDA even believes in the 10 commandments or didn’t that they didn’t rewrite them like they did the day Jesus wanted us to worship Him on. And They just wrote two of their own versions of the counterfeit KJV version of the bible because they didn’t like it! 😃 A counterfeit version of a initation version of another counterfeit version,:whacky: I am sure they might have lost at least one commandment somewhere. 😃

God Bless**

Are SDAs pro-choice? Now that is something I did not know. I thought that the one thing Christians have in common is a pro-life stand.

As someone else said, those who want to kill babies have already been born.

**Your English here is far beyond my possibilities to understand. So, I won’t follow the thread – as I can’t.

Let me, before I quit this thread tell you, that my parents where protestant, after my mother had married again – a protestant. My father – brother of 2 Protestant priests, was very religious indeed.
Those priests (and one of them was very keen of the post and adored him) gave me a lot of advice to believe. He later becam a doctor, for his Eastern Germany (GDR) parish didn’t let him free after he had fled to Western Germany. So, he didn’t get a Western Germany parish.

However:
As a child of 10 and later, I very often was terribly frustrated and very sad at my new father, when he simply did not and could not understand certain Catholic strong convictions, that are absolutely natural and I was convinced of at 10 as I’m now, 60 years later.

It’s terribly sad, that Protestants – due to Luther 600 years ago, misinterpret so many things. Things Catholics don’t believe because they are stupid, but because these things are natural, (come to you naturally) or because Jesus had said so.
Let’s hope, that this is soon overcome, and let’s not work against each other, but try to get together in brotherly love.

We must try hard and ecumenism is the popes main interest. Let’ both work towards it without mutual recriminations (I looked that one up and hop it’s right 😉

Aren’t both of us trying to get hold of a bit of God – and don’t the two of us often enough play the wrong note.

However: The one and only Church Jesus founded is not the Lutheran, but the Catholic one.

Hi Ben, 👋
No Chruch has pro-choice as a doctrine I am sure. It is an "individual choice based on Christian values. Many Protestant groups have the real values Jesus attempted to teach. One Protestant told me on a Thread here, that we sould “rejoice” because the babies get to God without having to sin! Isn’t that a precious thought? I hope they can explain that opinion to God, I know the Devil understands it! What did God give each of us? “LIFE” In the Eucharist Jesus gave us eternal Life through his real presence. (The OP Rules! 👍 )

We have more people who ‘claim’ they are Christians than any other group in the USA. There are people who say they are Christians but then Kill their own children or desire to kill their own Grand children! I am trying to think of an Important American who claims he is a Christian but suports Abortion :hmmm: His name should come to me soon … Oh, now I remember :doh2: , click on the picture to enlarge it!

God Bless**

Their official position is very cloudy as it attempts to appear pro-life. However, their position would not be considered Pro-Life if presented to pro-life organizations for a determination.

Here is a thread on the topic of abortion in the SDA church.

forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=155025

When I was a SDA, I obtained statistics on abortions performed in Maryland SDA hospitals, and posted them in the thread above.

I was challenged that they were outdated so I prayed, and God provided statistics for the past couple years.

The thread is intersting. My stats are somewhere in the middle and near the end of the thread.

As in the Catholic Church, there are members in the SDA church who are pro-life and others who are pro-choice.

Unlike the Catholic Church whose official postion is Pro-life, The SDA church position is not pro-life.

God bless all!!!

Hi Protestant, 👋

Whos? Your’s or Ours? Every one disobeys commandments that is called SIN buddy! Only Protestants disobey Jesus’s commandments and follow an Idol they call the KJV. Some groups eat the pages as their communion I thinkl they say the Words are what he meant when He commanded

**god Bless **
The Ten commandments are Jesus’ commandments, and the Catholic Church advocates disobedience of these, when it fits with their doctrines.

Of course, you will find ways to “prove” how Adventists also “break the commandments” but that was not the original point, nor have I denied that fact. :bounce:

Hi Pat, 👋

I think not taking a Pro-life stance speaks louder than words! Our president and all people in power remain in my prayers. I hope He becomes an instrument for life and peace. But he is already helping the devil by allowing abortions overseas to be funded with our tax dollars. We must pray! Prayer is the answer to every question.
Like a baby in its Mother’s womb, we as Catholics need nurishment from our Mother the church! Only the real presence of Jesus in our communion and His real words in our lives can provide the nurishment to our souls for us to grow and that can only be obtained in the RCC! 👍

God Bless**

Hi, Protestant101,

Is this your answer to ‘drive-by-shootings’? Make some off-the-wall accusation, provide no documentation and then just leave the post?

Why do you think Catholics break the 4th and 7th Commandments (as opposed to all 10)?

What is your source for your claim that the CC advocates disobedience to the 10 Commandments?

There are no ‘ways to prove’ anything. You either have the facts and present them clearly and stick around for the discussion or, you just engage in ‘drive-by-shootings’.

The focus of this entire CAF is to engage Catholics in dialogue - not attempt to belittle others with false and cowardly accusations. 🤷

Consider yourself challenged - but, with charity: please come back and stand up for what you said. Truthfully (and with documentation) respond to the questions I presented to you. Then you can better dialogue with others.

God bless

There is more statements in the Gospels about Jesus having brothers and sisters than there are about eating flesh and drinking blood.

The better question is this. Why does Rome treat the statements regarding the brothers of Jesus as symbolic but accept the statements of flesh and blood as absolutely literal?
 *&^%$#@">!

Symbolic?? Been Catholic all my life and never heard of such a thing!

In those days and in many different cultures one would call cousins, brothers and sisters also. There is a culture in Africa which says that "my Mother’s brothers are my “male Mothers” and of course my Mother’s sisters are my Mothers also! 🙂

This is true, but the passages in question refer to brothers and sisters of Jesus; on the other hand, they refer to Elizabeth as (depending on translation) either “relative” or “cousin”.

**Hi tqualey, 👋

You don’t get out much do you? Protestant101 has even abandoned Threads he started himself! I am not sure, however, i think his cult may prohibit him from defend against things without seeing what Ellen G. White, the prophetess of Seventh Day Adventism wrote about the subject. Now in his defense Ellen G White made a career of blatant plagiarism authoring over 90 books.
I know the SDA wrote two bibles of their own. :hmmm: I wonder it they have 90 books in them? Protestant101 and other SDAs will lthrow Ellen G White over to the side while quoating her. Denying your prophet is a strange practice for any group even cults. But I have to respect their practices.

You can use charity just remember Protestant101 can’t even spell it!

I will use clarity maybe he can look it up and know what it means! 👍
