Eric… that is what I thought at first too… but then I started clicking on personal web page links thinking no way could they be this bad… and if you checked out the blogs… they are serious!
 
I’ve been looking at most of their blogs for a while now (1/2 an hour?) and it really does seem to be parody.

Have you noticed that whenever their musical preference is mentioned they list Doris Day?

CC Davis mentions how he is heterosexual NUMEROUS times and then talks about liking Broadway, his live in male friend and how he is (if I’m remembering right) an interior decorator? And in the people he’d like to meet section he has male models.

So, I’ve been spending more time checking them out and they are ABSOLUTELY a parody site.

This is from the disclaimers on their site:
‘Many antogonists on the political Left would like to call it political satire so perhaps everything posted here should be understood in that context.’

Not all Catholicism-bashing sites are Christian, in even the most elastic sense: a site to which that site links is Baha’i; which is interesting.

Where is the love of Christ? Where is the part where he forgives? Where is what he can do for others not what they can do for him? Where is the part that he shows mercy and love to the sinners and the less fortunate?

Like I said… I am dismayed! I am a big girl and I can handle that he hates Catholics… but the why astounds me… apparently because he thinks we actually worship a priestess from Babylonia…huh? Why am I considered a whore in his eyes just because I have to work? And for that matter who set him as my judge? How can he hate another child of God? Who cares what color God made the child? If I am worthy of love from my heavenly father… than am I worthy of love? Of course I am! And so are you, and everyone else in the world.

Most of us that call ourselves Christians, understand that we should treat others as Children of God the Father and brothers and sisters of God the Son…so why is this a difficult thing for others?

I haven’t read everything in this thread but the very first thing that popped into my head was that verse…

It’s so sad…This has nothing to do with protestant / catholic because I have seen the same hate in some catholics. Again, not the majority but I have still come across it. I just pray that they soften their hearts to God.😊
 
These people have stooped to a new low… They are emailing my family members and telling them I am evil and stupid. Now they are threatening to sue me … I have long since stopped posting on their blog since they keep attacking me. :mad:

why suing you? don’t they know I am your best laywer. 😃 If they ever threaten you, save all their emails to a folder, let their words be against them.

I saved all the blog stuff in word documents. They are saying I infringed on copyright because I posted their blog to my site and invited them there if they wanted to continue to insult me so that their blog could get back on track as I unintentionally derailed it by posting a comment. Since I did that, they have posted it to another blog on wordpress… aren’t they doing the same thing they are accusing me of? My words are now posted to wordpress without my permission. For that matter… is anything a person posts on the internet covered by copyright?

I think you are dealing some kiddo here - the more you fight back, the more they like. If you never reply or respond to whatever they do, they will leave you alone. If it takes them 5 years to stop bothering you, then you will take 5 years continuing ignoring them.

It will work. 🙂
 
I have stopped giving them fuel and I think that is why they are mad. Now they are coming to my “myspace” and commenting there which I don’t mind but I am not posting their threats. Anyone who comments that is not one of their group, they are emailing and slandering me.
 
So what is the verdict? Can you claim copyright on something you post in a blog or internet forum?

Actually from doing just that I’m pretty convinced that they are not serious.

I smell they take some of their material from Ian Pasley’s but if is parody fundamentalist hoax they have very bad taste. Their antics are not funny.
 
Update… They sent me the name of their lawyer in England and want me to contact him so they can sue me… Like that will happen! And me to make the overseas call so they can sue me… yeah…

I have not responded to any of their emails or comments… I do check my email there for friends… and I read their emails, I just don’t do anything about them, especially not delete them as I want them for proof of harassment. They emailed my husband and my niece to tell them how stupid I am… I asked my niece to forward it and she had already deleted it. My dh hasn’t been on since they did that so he doesn’t remember if he deleted it or not.
