BlestOne,

Have you thought about writing to the hosting company for their blogs and explaining your harassment? If your saving all of their writings to you, you should have a strong case.

It would be immensely satisfying if they had their blogs and such deleted by the powers that be for their own words. Hoisted on their own petard.

Something to consider:

They use wordpress for their blogs and websites.

wordpress.com/tos/

From wordpress.com’s terms of service:

‘the Content is not obscene, libelous or defamatory (more info on what that means), hateful or racially or ethnically objectionable, and does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party; and’

(emphasis mine)

Contact info for Wordpress:
(877) 273-8550
automattic.com/contact/

Some more information about them being a parody site:

Their main site is owned by Mrs. T-D Gaines-Crockett. This same person is listed as the founding member of the Landover Ladies Club, of the Landover Baptist Church (a parody site) at landoverbaptist.org/thestaff/ladies/

They really seem like a group of idiots with too much time on their hands. They appear to be at least tangentially linked to Landover Baptist, which would lead me to believe that they would have a built in bias against someone like you, a woman who is clearly a Church going believer.

I would definitely contact Wordpress and otherwise continue to ignore their taunts.

my niece reported them on myspace for harassment since they sent her emails just because she posted a comment on my blog. I think reporting them to wordpress is a good idea too. I am looking at it now.

What is it with these people? First of all, they have way too much time on their hands, but that’s true of all of us to some extent! (I shouldn’t be here right now.) However, at least most of us on this board are serious about seeking the truth. What kind of twisted bitterness motivates people to create whole websites devoted to parodying and mocking a form of Christianity, and to play the role of the crass fundamentalist with such wicked relish? Is it that they are ex-fundamentalists and they just can’t free themselves from an obsession with their former faith? Do they secretly enjoy being mean and nasty and feel liberated by the pretense that they’re engaging in healthy satire?

There’s something profoundly evil going on here. People are simply wallowing in what they know quite well to be spiritual darkness.

i suspect its the work of some hyped up tekkie teenagers and young adult bachelors. or religion obsessed IT guys like me who would rather practice their skills on website design than waste their free time surfing the net and debates.

i know of a tekkie muslim fanatic who made countless articles & websites on the net. MENJ. this name is everywhere. driven by dreams of destroying christianity.

I guess they forgot this part of their Bible:
6 But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come: but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh.

Another update… They can’t get a hold of me and they can’t see my blog. So the one guy posted on the original site and left instructions for me to “prove” I took down the blog in question… nope, not playin their game!!!

I have read in some other sources that the Landover Baptists are exfundamentalists that had become atheists and are mocking their old beliefs. One of them Chris Harper (Pastor Deacon Fred) is said according to Wikipedia to actually attend Jerry Farwell’s Liberty University. And yes they have lot of time in their hands, just look and their forums. They even got their fundamentalist biblical reference quotes right!
As a parody site they are OK but if some of them are crossing the line into harassment is another thing.

Well, I don’t think these guys put much stock in the Bible anymore. They’ve been too burned by fundamentalism–like the Dwarfs in the Last Battle.

That is right, they are not christians anymore, they are just atheists playing christian with a deep hatred of religion.
Blessed One, do not waste any time arguing with them.
