never have i said that david so please quit implying so only God knows who is saved and only you know if you truly surrendered to His will in trusting in Jesus Christ for your salvation. The problem is that the three of you together are implying that we, as Catholics, are not saved and therefore need to convert to your religion, or else we are going to hell.
That is extremely offensive.
I am not going to discuss this further, but I forgive you all for what you did. I cannot speak for the other Catholics whom you have offended, though.
Goodbye and God bless.
Thank you for clarifying that. As I said, I forgive you, but I am leaving the forums.never have i said that david so please quit implying so only God knows who is saved and only you know if you truly surrendered to His will in trusting in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
Jerry. I’m sure you intended no harm. And I personally am OK with the behavior somewhat.never have i said that david so please quit implying so only God knows who is saved and only you know if you truly surrendered to His will in trusting in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
I don’t worry about my salvation cause i stand on His promises
nah, just pointing to the cross of Christ, my friend. like one has noted that i once was in the catholic church and now i am not. i know lots of people in the catholic church who trust in Christ alone.seems christian1, Jerry Marino and Seeking12 are jealous of the Catholic church. So jealous in fact they have to throw digs in order to better themselves.
I second that!nah, just pointing to the cross of Christ, my friend. like one has noted that i once was in the catholic church and now i am not. i know lots of people in the catholic church who trust in Christ alone.
i know what is taught in the church very well and the yoke is quite heavy if i may say. i try my best not to bicker of the differences, i only point to Christ without Christ we would not be having this conversation.
as i have seen here it is not us who initiate the differences but you all wanting to debate and attack, if you truly want to prove your side let the love of God overshadow all ill feelings towards us. convince us with scripture that you hold on to the truth not with the teachings through the catechism for to us it would be meaningless. show us your point through scripture. not of your interpretation of scripture but using scripture to explain scripture.
God bless
**Please direct your apology and retraction to Jesus. This is proselytizing of Catholics. It is offensive, demeaning, and against the forum rules.
It is eminently clear that Seeking12, Jerry Marino, and christian1 are not reading or considering the replies to their posts, and are continuing to promote a single-minded agenda. That is also against the forum rules.
This kind of behavior is why I am quitting these forums. As for the three of you, you need to apologize and retract.

Ya, well, too bad you didn’t learn the true church of Christ while you were at that church. Your loss my friend.nah, just pointing to the cross of Christ, my friend. like one has noted that i once was in the catholic church and now i am not. i know lots of people in the catholic church who trust in Christ alone.

this thread is how we think our interpretation is right and that in itself would be wrong. it don’t matter what i think but what God says on the issue of salvation cause that what the entire bible is about; Jesus Christ.
God bless
Your unstated subtext is that Catholics are the religious people, the “many.”**Please direct your apology and retraction to Jesus.
Mathew 7:13-14
13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Here Jesus speaks to very very religious people; He is not speaking to or about non-religious people.
verse 13 “there are many** who enter through it”
verse 14 “there are few who find it”
There is where the many and few come from; if you have a problem with it, then take it to God.
Your unstated subtext is that Catholics are the religious people, the “many.”
Thank you for:
*]Convicting yourself of proselytization, therefore leaving me nothing more to say
*]Convicting yourself of usurping the judgment of God, same
*]Confirming my decision to become a Catholic, and so to renounce such usurpation of the judgment of God (i.e. stop being my own Pope) is correct
*]Confirming my decision to leave these forums is likewise correct
I will try to forgive you in the coming days, but unlike Jerry, you have shown no indicia of sincerity. It will be more of a challenge for me to mend my heart. Lord, help me.
Goodbye and God bless.
DavidCatachumen was honest in what he said. He didn’t put words in people’s mouths like you are trying to do. I believe he is closer to Jesus than you think.Although I agree that Catholics are religious people; you should not go around putting words in peoples mouths to try to discredit them; this is against the forum rules. Godd luck in your new religion; I hope you drawl closer to Jesus.
Now I got people getting in my mind and telling me what I think…DavidCatachumen was honest in what he said. He didn’t put words in people’s mouths like you are trying to do. I believe he is closer to Jesus than you think.
Reap what you sow.Now I got people getting in my mind and telling me what I think…
You replied to my post before I could delete it and reword it in a way that was less judgmental. For that, I apologize. Now I got people getting in my mind and telling me what I think…
Are you showing you Catholic colors?Reap what you sow.
**You replied to my post before I could delete it and reword it in a way that was less judgmental. For that, I apologize.
I think the subtext of your posts is pretty clear: “there is a narrow way to salvation and you (as a Catholic) are not on it.” If that is not proselytization, I do not know what is.
I forgive you, but I will not give you any further opportunity to incite me or to test my faith.
I resign.
Why? Are Catholics the only ones who should show charity? Not you Protestants? Good grief…Are you showing you Catholic colors?
Jerry, you may hold to this opinion if you insist. You will not find a Catholic on this site who will agree that you know what is taught in the Church. Sorry to be the bearer of this news to you.i know what is taught in the church very well
This is the problem, Jerry. If you want Catholics to “prove” something through Scripture, you first have to acknowledge that Scripture is part of the Deposit of Faith TO the Church. We’ll NEVER prove or convince you of anything until you acknowledge that fact. This is because you come to the debate table thinking we all can equally interpret Scripture, and that somebody on these forums will WIN the debate by convincing another of their position. Hardly ever happens here. You think these are OUR interpretations? They’re not. No more than yours are really yours. As I’ve said a hundred times, no one’s belief system has it’s origins outside from some form of human teaching and influence…in fact, most people’s entire belief system is based on a collage of human teaching throughout their lives. This is OK…God intends this to be true…but He intends us to all go to His specific teachers, not someone who just proclaims to be “subjecting himself to the Bible”. You don’t get this…I know. But this is why we don’t entertain you with debates that have as their premise that “scripture explains scripture”. This is absolutely absurd.convince us with scripture that you hold on to the truth not with the teachings through the catechism for to us it would be meaningless. show us your point through scripture. not of your interpretation of scripture but using scripture to explain scripture.
Actually, that is what the entire Church is about…Jesus Christthis thread is how we think our interpretation is right and that in itself would be wrong. it don’t matter what i think but what God says on the issue of salvation cause that what the entire bible is about; Jesus Christ.
I’ll take that as an affirmative; without looking I would guess you are from the westcoast. Why? Are Catholics the only ones who should show charity? Not you Protestants? Good grief…![]()
