I will take you up on the last word.

Just remember who has seperated us (its not me). If you believe and follow Christ then I consider you along with me a member of the True Church.

I have given my case for my position and still stand behind it. I believe it is a very big stretch to use the scriptures you and others have provided to back up your case. I will agree that we are at an impass and appreciate your tone and believe that you are sincere in your beliefs.

As for who is in denial I do not know, we will know someday and I do not think it will seperate us eternally.

I pray that God blesses you!
No, that is not true, unless you were received into the Catholic Church today.

The Catholic Church is the only true Chruch. It was founded by Jesus Christ about 2000 years ago. The Church he founded was on Peter, leader of the Apostles, and Jesus, after He left us, sent to us the Holy Spirit to guide and protect us.

The ‘christian community’ you belong to was founded some time in the 16th century, which, like an amoeba split many, many times since then.

We will keep your search in our prayers.

Please read my post over again. I said a lot more than merely “seeking” the truth.
October 24th is the Feast of St. Raphael, the Archangel. “Do you pray to Angels?” Yes, and we will do it this Wednesday

I don’t know whether that is true.

Is there a place in the Bible that tells NOT to pray to angeles and saints?

Certainly, the early Church had the Catacombs, where they collected the remains of the martyrs, and prayed over their relics, dedicated spots to them.

Is God jealous that we use the intercession of saints and angels for help and protection?

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Pray to whom ever you please, but only one name only, and that name is God’s new name for us by which we shall recieve anything under, and that is Jesus Christ.

No Kidding.

All our prayers, whether to God the Father, or God the Holy Spirit, the Blessed Virgin Mary, or any saint, those prayers always end “Through our Lord Jesus Christ”.

We have been around for 2,000 years; we know how to pray to him, his Father, the Spirit, or to the saints, in his Name.

Where do you draw the line now who started innitiating the roman catholic church who was the founder CONSTANTINE.

Here we have it in the clearest of language. It was Paul, NOT Peter, who was commissioned to be the chief Apostle to the Gentiles. And who was it that wrote the Epistle to the ROMANS? It certainly WASN’T Peter! “And when James, Cephas [Peter], and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace * that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision” (Gal. 2:9). Paul further mentioned his special office as the Gentile Apostle in II Timothy 1:11: “Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.”

PETER is NOWHERE called the Apostle to the Gentiles! This precludes him from going to Rome to become the head of a Gentile community.
PROOF TWO: Paul specifically told the Gentile Romans that HE had been chosen to be their Apostle, not Peter. “I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable” (Rom. 15:16). How clear! Paul had the direct charge from Christ in this matter. He even further relates in Romans 15:18 that it was Christ who had chosen him “to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed.”

PAUL Established the Only TRUE Church at Rome during the apostolic era.*

Far out!

No, there are three Persons in one Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal, but distinct, existing from all eternity.

When you go to the Soda Fountain, do you always order vanilla?

We pray to the Father, because Jesus taught us pray to him, Our Father.

We pray as Jesus taught us to pray, asking for whatever 'in Jesus name".

There are three parts to the whole of the bible.
  1. Father the creator of all that there is (Flesh and the law)
  2. Jesus the re-creator of our dead spirits (Spirit of Grace and life eternal)
  3. Holy Spirit the sustainer of all that is, and the rejuvenator of every heart it touches.
One God, one body (Jesus) and one spirit (Gods)
Besides those, there are no others.

Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,(spirit)

You’re mixing metaphors here.

There are two parts to the Bible: Old Testament and New Testament.

Off the top of my head there are 72 books. The Trinity and the Bible are different spheres, different entities, with no real relationship.

There are all kinds of variations of (Protestant) Christianity, and, I guess, your’s is just one of them.

Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone
who fled to your protection,
implored your help,
or sought your intercession was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, we turn to you,
O Virgin of virgins, our Mother.
To you we come, before you we stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
do not despise our petitions,
but in your mercy hear us and answer us.
Amen.

Are Catholics looking for an answer in this prayer from Mary or God?

Agreed!

The trinity as worded is not found in the entire bible, but it is there insinuated by the way the message is given.

The bible is written in parables so as only to those whom God grants spiritual understanding can deduce from the bible the true message.
It is written in such a way that nobody can have a conner of the truth, but that everybody would have to seek it out personally to the satisfaction of the Holy Spirit which is the last source we have after Jesus left.

If we but just follow the same example as Paul stated: 1Co 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. then that is all we would need, and the other is to do the works Christ commanded us to do.

But if you are like me, to want to know more about Gods mysteries, then we search and get deeper into the word of God as meat is to a grown mature adult.

Are Catholics looking for an answer in this prayer from Mary or God?
Ultimately we are looking for an answer from God for we know that Mary is going to do exactly what we have asked a faithful follower of Christ to do, pray to God for us.

I have had Protestant friends who come to me/others and said something along the lines of “I am just so tired. I can’t pray about this anymore. Please pray for me. You are such a good prayer warrior…”

I could go on and change things, but it is clear to me that when a Christian goes to another Christian and asks them for prayer, however poetic they get in their language, we ultimately know that if our prayer is answered by God through that person’s prayers, God is the one who answered it.

You seem to start with the assumption that we are not looking to God for the answer to our prayers and read things through that lens.

Respectfully,
Maria

Actual waked done in helping others is limited to this earth.
After this life, there is no more work as we know it.
While Jesus was here He was doing a work as well as Mary and not to mention all the rest of the participants with Jesus in helping Jesus complete His work. Which includes Judas.
But now that Jesus and Mary are gone, we have the Holy Spirit with us to the end of this life to be our comforter and relay of our hearts desires to wards God, so in essence, we go directly to God via the Holy Spirit.
As for help from friends, yes, buy all means, seek help in prayer.
