Jesus never said that. He said that to Thomas. In fact, when he said that, Mary wasn’t even present. However the Scriptures do say this: (Luke 1:46-48, KJV)

46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, **from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. **

Yet you say we owe Mary no honor? The Scriptures say otherwise.
Mary is blessed. The disciples did not follow Mary they followed Jesus.
It is right to honor her but do not look to Mary but to Christ who is the foundation of our Christian faith, church.

That is right indeed! It is God that we should always turn to. However, if turning to Mary and the saints we are also turning to God. When we pray to them we are not praying in the sense of asking them for something, but rather asking them to join us in prayer for asking God for something. It is indeed true that God is all we need, and even Catholics aren’t obligated to be devoted to Mary and the saints. However, when I say that God is all we need I do not mean to say that we cannot ask others for their prayers… you would ask your earthly brothers and sisters in Christ for prayers, wouldn’t you? Asking the Blessed Mother and the saints for their prayers is no different… you may now bring on some comment about no contact with the dead. Catholics do not see asking Mary and the saints for their prayers as contact with the dead, since those in heaven are still with us, and actively join us in our prayers and praises! Only those with no connection to God (Something that does not exist on this earth) are truly dead. This only occurs for those in Hell. Doesn’t Christ promise eternal life in heaven? 👍

“However, if turning to Mary and the saints we are also turning to God.”

I feel this statement is very bad theology.

Matthew 18:19-20

19"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

The above verses are the definition of intercessory prayer. This is all talking about people coming together who are “on earth” or alive, as in, can be in the same place physically.

These verses are very important to why we should gather together at church, it shows why it is supernatural and important to do that.

Notice the verses above show a distinction between “on earth” and “in heaven”

Where is Mary right now?

Jesus is the foundation of our faith. Again you are showing you do not know what you are talking about.

Mary and the Saints are more alive than you or I.

Oh but I do.
If Jesus was the foundation of your faith you wold not be constantly turnin to Mary.

Mary points to Jesus. We are Christian. To say otherwise is sheer ignorance. Archbishop Fulton Sheen talked about your type of Christian:

“There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions who hate wht they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church—which is, of course, quite a different thing. These millions can hardly be blamed for hating Catholics because Catholics ‘adore statues;’ because they ‘put the Blessed Mother on the same level with God;’ because they say ‘indulgence is a permission to commit sin;’ because ‘the Pope is a fascist;’ because the Church is the ‘defender of capitalism.’ If the Church taught or believed any one of these things , it should be hated, but the fact it the Church does not teach nor believe any one of them.”

The foundation of Catholicism IS most definitely Christ!

Why do you need someone to conastantly point, Did He not say that He stands by our door knocking?

You fail to recognize that Luther did not continue with the Tiltes given to Mary by the Catholic church such as Queen of Heaven and mediatrix. Honoring is one thing, boderline worship and blasphemy against our Lord is something totally different and horrific.
You are quite correct Luther did not continue his faith. He turned his back on it, and choose to follow another faith. He left the Catholic Church.

Honoring is one thing, and it is the only thing we do. We love and Honor the Blessed Mother. So did Jesus. Why is it, if she was good enough for God, can’t she be good enough for you.

God made his choice. He picked her above all to do his work. She is a perfect example of how to obey the Lord and trust the Lord.

I do not fail to recognize Luther, I just fail to agree with him. He had no authority to over step the Church and created his ideal of Salvation. I follow the Pope the true leader of the Sheep. Jesus left the Church to Peter not Luther.

Why do we need someone to point us to Jesus? Do you not know him? Do you not trust him fully? Jesus said that even more blessed than Mary are those who never seen him but yet believe.
Where. Could you point me to that scripture. Thanks

Not what Scripture says.
What is it about asking someone that is full of grace to pray for you that bothers you so much.

How could you possibly say that the Blessed Mother did not suffer. Do you really believe that to watch you son who you loved with all your heart and soul get beaten, spit on and abused right in front of your eyes could be less painful then having them do it to you yourself? You are unreal to say her suffereing was not just as great. You must not understand the love of a Mother, thats for sure.

Physical pain, and emotional pain. You say physical is worse. I was always told scars from physical pain can heal, but emotional can stay forever.

I know the pain our Lord took, but what was worse then the beating was the emotional pain knowing that we betrayed him. Yes Jesus suffered and died for us. But the Blessed Mother suffered and died for us to. Because in her own way she forgave us also, and still loved us anyway.

Dear Blessed Mother please hear my cry and accept this great Love and admiration I have for you. Please know that we as Catholic’s love and admire you for what you have shown us.

You showed us that God is always in control, and if we just love and trust him like you did, that we can also get through whatever suffering in our life we need to do.

And by your suffering you also know like you SOn what pain is, and by his compassion and your great prayers we can rely for you for help. to Pray and go to him and ask him to have mercy on us.

Because just like Jesus we are also your Children. Because no matter how we sin, we are still your Children, Children of God.

You are the most awesome example for us to see that by the cross that God gives us to bare with him we can carry it. God sure picked the right example in you. And I thank him always for you and your great love and Prayers. And for the way you showed us in carrying your own cross that we can too. Amen.

For People like yourself who need that direction.👍
I have found Jesus why do I need Mary to point to Him for me?
If you are going back to Mary time and time again it is you that dont know where to find Jesus.
