i will assume you are starting a thread for catholics to do the same thing for the protestants as well.
  1. the mass is beautiful. the liturgy, the tradition, the history, the mystical that is incorporated into each mass is fantastic.
  2. it is the reason any of us are followers of Christ today. it has withstood attacks (from without and within) against the “essentials” (as augustine called them).
  3. there is not a lot of grey area. you know where you stand. this is good (even when i disagree with what the church says) because it allows for a great launching point for evangelism, ecumenism, and apologetics.
there are many more positives, these are just the ones on the tip of my tongue right now.
 
  1. So many ways to live your faith: sacraments, sacramentals, devotions, intercessions…
  2. Beautiful artwork (Sacred Heart in Baton Rouge is a PRIME example).
  3. No matter what church you go to, it will be the same readings and the same prayers.

  1. The beautiful solemnity of the Mass.
  2. The fact that it lays out exactly what it believes.
  3. The emphasis on good works.
 
  1. Catholics show deep respect for our Lord. They are great examples of how to understand just how Holy He truly is.
  2. Loyalty to the principle of the church, what it stands for, how that is shared amoung different churches individually.
  3. Teaching is detailed and well thought out, the history of learning over the years shows through.

  1. Their steadfastness in the honoring of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which through their leadership some non-catholics are finally returning to.
  2. Their willingness and bravery in standing up to tyranny, as we are currently witnessing against Hugo Chavez.
  3. Their 2000 year defense of the faith, and nuturing of the Church Militant, even though we sometimes disagree.
I pray God’s blessings on our Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ.
