This is why I don’t think you are being honest with yourself.
Mt 1:25 and did not know her till <2193> she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.
– [SIGN]Notice this verse is very much like the first three. Is it reading into this verse the same type of meaning that is in the first three?[/SIGN]
Yes you are reading into this, because there are many other verses using the word till or until (interchangeable) that do NOT signify the antithesis coming. The bible is a whole, not pieces. It must be taken as such. Please do not take a few examples that match your views and exclude the ones that do not./

QUOTE]

For the first three verses mentioned you said NO; you did not say yes because there are may verses that use until and it means different than to answer NO.

Take these verses to someone that has never read the Bible and that doesn’t know any teaching on the subject of whether or not Mary was a perpetual virgin. What do you think they’d say??? NO, NO, Yes or NO, No, No.
By all means bring as many NT verses with the same Greek word hoes to prove why I’m reading into Matthew 1:25. Let’s discuss them.

My authority is from God and His Word the Bible. Thank you and have a Blessed Christmas.
There are many non-catholics who hold to this idea yet have beliefs that directly oppose yours,so i hae to ask which God do you get your aurthority from? When did Jesus breathe on you when did Jesus lay His hands on you, when did Jesus Himself comission and send with words from His own lips,Never did He personally do this, you have assumed your aurthority by yourself.

Jesus is my guide is the battle cry,yet none have ever stop to listen to what the Church teaches when she says Christ is the head,or that the Church is the body of Christ.

.I am lead by Christ through His church so i don’t have to reley on my own falliable notions.

The key here is the last sentence. Reposting it again, so people see it three times
“I am lead by Christ through His Church so [that] I don’t have to rely on my own fallible notions”

Thanks for that fbl9

Good for you and have a Blessed Christmas. How do you know what Jesus has done for me? When I accepted Him He breathed on me His Saving Grace He layed hands on me when I was baptised at age 38 He gives me commission everytime I read His word and pray. Sorry you missed it.

You don’t get it do you ? You are so blind I will pray for you . My Christ is Gods son. I am sorry you have never felt the Holy Spirit.

Hmmmm… Baptised at 38? Didnt you say you were raised half Catholic? Were you not baptised as an infant? If not, congratulations!!! If yes, your second was had no point except for your own happy feelings. See the Nicene creed if you dont believe that one.

Also, and again, On what points do you disagree with the Church? I know the Mary issue, but what others? What are the points where your interpretation trumps that of the successor of Peter, the shepherd of Gods sheep on earth?

Yes at 38 and I don’t have time going to visit some elderly folks for Christmas. But will answer soon .

Such pride and self deception will get you no where.
Is that the same christ that leads your fellow protestants to hold beleifs that are in direct oppostion to yours.
,beat me over the head with your bible and i will do the same to you and i will win cause mine is heavier.😃

There is no untruth here. I felt once as you feel now. I feel that Mary was a wonderful women. I feel Mary was a wonder example of a follower of Jesus. I feel Mary was a great example of trusting in the Lord when life’s situations are very difficult. I feel that Mary’s ability to trust her Lord was that she took the truths she was given and hid them in her heart. These are not what you said you thought I felt about Mary. I love Mary as a sister in the Lord. If that’s not how you felt, then you are mistaken about me.

The “his sheep” to whom I was referring was the followers of Christ. If you can accept that then you see the Primacy of Peter and the necessit yof submission to him. As sheep follow a shepherd we are called to follow the man who sits on the chair of Peter, just as the Jews were called to follow the commands of those who sat in the seat of Moses. I accept that Jesus told Peter to feed Jesus’ sheep. That is a command for all church leaders. Too bad so many church leaders feed themselves. I don’t accept Peter’s pirmacy. There too much Scriptural evidence and even some historical evidence, that Peter was not THE church leader; Paul was the leader to the Gentiles and James to the church in Jerusalem. I’ll be interested where the verse is about NT leaders sitting in the seat of Moses, especially with Peter.

How about this…Let’s talk to the Pope and tell him to consider letting your priests marry and remain celibate. (Wouldn’t make sense would it? Even the Pope would call the men in the white coats to take us away.)
You are quite the funny one here. 🤷 Disrespect will not get you very far in life.

Priests are celibate because they are not married. It was Paul who encouraged leaders in the church to remain unmarried. The reasoning is so that they can serve God and His people 100%. It has nothing to do with sex.

Come on now, it isn’t unusual to think that Mary was a virgin yet had a child but it is unusual to think that she could be married and not have sex? WOW, ye of little faith.

It’s not a matter of faith.

Paul did not command church leader to be celebate. He did say if the sex drive could not be controled, then they should get married. In fact he said bishops should be the husband of one wife and his children must be ruley.

Why does the CC command something that the NT does not command but encourages marriage when celebacy is not possible. Sure would solve a lot of problems for the CC if they’d let their priest be married: less sexual problems and more priest.

St.Paul said he wished everyone could be like him :celebate…and gave very sound reasons as to why.And in no way did St.Paul ever say or imply that husband and wife were to live as if sex were everything thier relationship is to be built upon.Have you ever stopped to consider the way in which St.Paul said the words “because you lack self control” He meant this as a chastisment of the behavior of the people he was writing to.
How does one control the sex drive? Do we just let the flesh dictate how we are to ineract with our wife?
last paragraph;
How do you know when celebacy is not possible?
Let’s take a look at all the married protesant pastors whom have commited adultry, did marriage solve the problem? Not one little bit.
