The Muslims says Christendom winks at drunkenness on these three pretences,

First let me make it easy for others to reference these:

Proverb 31:6-7 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

John 2:7-10 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

First one must ignore all passages that specifically forbid “drunkenness” (eg Rm 3:13). Second, none of these passages say anything of drunkenness, but only that consuming wine is acceptable…there is a big differece. Even in the Proverbs verse, the survivors are to drink and eat with the dying so that his final moments may be pleasurable and he might forget his sufferings, not because of the alcohol, but because of the gathering of friends. Wine was a drink of joy in antiquity. It says nothing of getting drunk. (eg., see Haydock commentary)
