In The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 20 Verse 24 states:
Code:
Man's steps are from the Lord; how then, can a man understand his way?

  Please explain.

God has designed everything, even the very steps we take. It is all a great mystery to us. His divine providence is at work in ways we can’t even begin to understand. All we can do is to trust in God and His plans.

Perhaps the Douay Rheims translation and commentary note from the Haydock Bible will help:Proverbs 20:24 *The steps of man are guided by the Lord: but who is the man that can understand his own way?

Commentary note: Ver. 24. Way? Jeremias 10:23. Independently of God, who can do any good? (Calmet)
