The onus is not to prove that aliens haven’t visited us, the onus is to prove that they have.“No aliens have visited us” isn’t provable.
If someone is going to make a flat claim of “they’ve never visited us,” the onus is on them to prove it. Now, if you want to say “I don’t believe they’ve ever visited us,” that’s perfectly reasonable, because you’re not making a claim of unprovable fact. Same for “I believe they may have visited us.”The onus is not to prove that aliens haven’t visited us, the onus is to prove that they have.
Or that they don’t want us to know. Or that it’s very rare and there is no physical evidence. Or that it was before recorded history . . .If there is no conclusive evidence that they have, then the conclusion has to be that they haven’t.
No conclusive evidence means that it is not proven, therefore the assumption is that it is false.Or that it’s very rare and there is no physical evidence.
