I am looking for the Breviary translation of Psalm 148 and I wonder if someone could kindly give it to me?

Praise the Lord from the heavens,
praise him in the heights.
Praise him, all his angels,
praise him, all his host.

You could probably find the Grail Psalter online as well.
 
I googled endlessly until I came here Elizabeth! The thing I forgot to ask Nicole is there a difference in the translations in England and in America? I think perhaps Nicole is reading from an American published Breviary. It occurs to me that since this is an American site (I think?) I might get a different version? I was looking for some Song of Songs extracts too but it looked to me that the wording (on the only online sites I could find which were American) was different to what I remember. This is for an English wedding in France so I really wanted the English/British translations.

My English translation is approved for more countries than just the United States, but France isn’t one of the countries listed. I believe the majority of the posters here are from the United States. There are some that aren’t however. Hopefully some other people with be able to help you out.

the Psalm text in the US LOTH comes from The Grail (England) 1963 and published by Collins, London. Would that make it the same as what is found in the UK brievary?

I found this in a search I did, I checked out a few of the psalms and they match mine. I’m not sure about this guys site…but the Psalms he lists seem to be right.

Thank you Elizabeth - that seems identical to Nicole’s (except for the little missing verse) so that must mean the translations do not differ. I wonder if it is the same for e.g. the Jerusalem bible - do we have different versions - American English and British English?

Nicole, the wedding is actually in French but we wanted to have dual readings in English - hence the translations.
 
my multi-volume sets for UK differs slightly from the US version, altho both say they use the Grail psalter, another poster here said there are earlier and later versions of GP which may account for differences, and diff. translation used for scripture readings, gospel canticles and antiphons. I prefer the UK version because that is the one I learend with, but since I mostly pray in groups use the US.
