Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Latin?

I have acquired in English the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary by St. Bonaventure and am trying to share it with people.

But I would like to have the Latin to publish online as well.

It’s very good to have Latin/English prayer side by side, I can’t think of a way in which I have learned more Latin. Most people I think who never get past the grammar, at least can memorize and learn the vocabulary.

However, I can’t find the Latin Psalter. I can find two versions of the English, that’s all. Perhaps it is too hard to get, not online, not offline inexpensively. But perhaps it is.

Asking a favor: If anyone, especially you Latin experts, could take a look around for it too, and let me know if you find it, I would appreciate it greatly. 😃

I normally search Google Books and the Internet Archive, then go wider afield when looking for religious books. There are a great number available this way.

It looks like it has all or nearly all of them. It is going to take manually copying them down though, the OCR can’t handle the old text and the columns.

If anyone wants to give me a hand, PM me. This is good work to do. 🙂
 
Have you considered searching for an online Vulgate Psalter, and just cutting and pasting. The English edition should have the psalms identified.

Actually, this is the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is different than the Psalter in the Vulgate. It’s a series of Psalms modeled after the Scriptural Psalms, but in honor of the Blessed Virgin.

I recommend them, they’re very moving. They also teach Marian devotion well, praying them properly.

So far I have the English up on Saints’ Prayers in the general run, they have rather taken over given their number. But there isn’t the full Psalter up with its own section yet, you can find two versions online that I know of.

One provided by the Franciscans, another on Google Books.

These appear to be the regular Psalms.
 
The St. Bonaventure Psalms go like thus:

Psalm 95
of the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary
by St. Bonaventure

Sing a new song to her who is full of grace:
sing to Mary all ye of the earthly world.

For she excels in sanctity all the angels:
and those born of women in her wonders and miracles.

Beauty and glory are in her countenance:
and grace is in her eyes.

Bring ye to her glory, ye fathers of the peoples:
rejoice in her, all ye creatures of God.

You have an admirable exchange worked by her means:
by reason of which you are called the sons of the Most High God.

Ah, I leaped for joy too soon.

This is the Little Office, a beautiful and wonderful book. Not quite the same thing.

And I love the Fr. Lasance books there! I have looked for some of those there before and not found them! Thank you very much for finding them for me. And thanks be to God and Heaven.

Here is what the particular Psalter I am looking for looks like. It consists of 150 Psalms dedicated to Our Lady by St. Bonaventure.

Sometimes other prayers are called Psalters of the Blessed Virgin, like the rosary, etc.

The regular Little Office is given first, then is given the Marial psalms arranged like an Office. Type page 3 (arabic, not roman numeral) in the locator at the top, or look in the Index at the back of the book…

You’re right. I quite overlooked it, I pulled up one of the regular psalms, started typing the Latin, and said, "Wait, this isn’t right.’ and looked through it and only found those, not going to the right section.
