“Psychic Night” at Catholic College!!!

Hundreds of students at Cabrini College just outside Philadelphia had their fortunes told at “Psychic Night” earlier this month, according to the student newspaper The Loquitur.

Well it looks as if we’ll see the first University-wide exorcism if this kind of stuff keeps up.

There would b law suits if it was Christian Night! It is time to start moving the Political Correctness ‘football’ in the other direction.

I used to work directly accross the street from a fortune teller. She had that office for 25 years. One day I delivered to the Mercedes dealer next door and the salesman told me she just bought a new Mercedes and paid cash. And that she does it every other year. None of my business but he did tell me. She had been at it for a long time and made a lot of money. She must have been good.
Then one day I read the obituary notices in the paper. She died suddenly at the age of 45 and her death was unexpected. If her own death was unexpected then maybe she wasn’t that good after all.

Oh, and as single guy I was bothered by the number of single women I knew who were into astrology. Some of them devout Christians too.

The psychic shop in my neighborhood had a full nativity scene out front from beginning of Advent to Epiphany!

I’m more worried about students wasting their money on this superstitious farce.

To those students, I can only say that as a recent graduate myself, no amount of either blessed pencils or tarot card readings is going to put the correct answers on your quiz paper than spending a good hour or two of actually doing what you’re supposed to do in college: STUDYING.

P.S.

Hm, seeing as I’m planning to give teaching a go sometime in the future, maybe I should rehearse that for a small speech.

There’s a member here whose signature is:

“I like to drop in on psychics and say ‘You were expecting me?’”

LOL 😃
