Did you that when a person is in the presence of the holy spirit that the exorsiscm can take place naturally and the person is healed?
English may be a second language for you?

In English we capitalize the name of God and Holy Spirit. Please get in the habit. Thanks. šŸ˜‰

do not judge. The thing that judges is your enemy.
l am not writing on a computer, my tablet makes it difficult to capitalize. I do not form habits.
if you know a better way, please let me know. Please
do not judge for your sake. Judging is a major sin, typos are not.
thanks.

We do not judge for our sake. And we are not judging. We are correcting.

If you can’t take correction, that is up to you.

You do use capital letters. Why do you not use them with reference to God and to the Holy Spirit?

why concern yourself with a gnat an not with something worthing of correcting.
I dont concern my self, nor will correct something so insignifigent.
that gnat verse in scripture fits this problem that bothers you so much.
you must be a picky person.

ps… I dont use capital letters, perhaps the tablet does, evididently not for some things,
I know god wont mind a few typos.
thanks for trying, but I find it as small as a gnat made into a mole hill.

Yes, I know that sometimes it happens. And at other times, the exorcism may need several attempts. In Mat 17:19-20, the apostles failed even after given power by Jesus himself. So we know there are different levels of difficulties in exorcisms. Perhaps low ranking demons vs high ranking demons. In Fr. Gabriele Amorth’s An Exorcist Tells His Story, you see instances of exorcisms lasting over years( I’m moving house and my books are in boxes. Trying to recall from memory). I think he also mentioned that the African spirits are the most difficult to get rid off.

ā€œYou blind guides, straining out a gnat, and swallowing a camelā€.

By asking for more evidence beyond one guy’s say-so.
That’s reasonable. If there were multiple witnesses for a supernatural phenomenon, is that good evidence in your opinion? Or is it still dismissed?

It would’ve been vastly interesting if they could provide video of the events. And officially check the participants’ mental health. It’s not that I don’t like Catholic exorcists - it’s standard procedure for all supernatural claims.
It is indeed proper protocol for priests to work in tandem with psychologists. Although there are a few videos of purported exorcisms, it is rare, perhaps not to sensationalize the matter or to protect the victim. As well, if indeed possession involves a sentient being, it presumably could know of the filming.

what is a sentient being?

You won’t learn to capitalize words or look up their meaning in a dictionary?

I must be picky? šŸ˜‰

Whew! :coolinoff:
your not only picky, you are also pushy.
I told you I have nowhere to capitalize on my tablet.
sometimes it does it on its own.
You said it did, I have yet to see it.
I use my computer during the day and my tablet when I retire.
when am I going to get through to you?

I am poppy the sailorman, I eat my spinish, I fight to the finish im poppy the sailorman.
lol

Probably not, no. I’d have to look at a particular case, but generally I’d say that just because a lot of people saw something they can’t explain doesn’t necessarily mean that they witnesses something supernatural.

I think that most people know that the magicians in Las Vegas are doing tricks with no supernatural powers involved, but we still have instances of crowds of hundreds or thousands of people witnessing the same seemingly supernatural events and having no explanation for them.

There were witnesses to alleged instances of witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials, but most people today would say that the witnesses were lying for various motives.

Sathya Sai Baba performed miracles in front of huge crowds. You can even find videos of some of them (prepare to be underwhelmed), but you can also find people who claimed that he raised people from the dead, was seen in multiple places at once, made miraculous healings, etc. He only died a few years ago, and there are people alive today who claim to have witnessed his miracles. Would you say this is good evidence for his powers?

The Hindu Milk Miracle in 1995 was witnessed by thousands of people across India and the world. You can also find videos of it, but you won’t find many people outside of a Hindu religion who think that anything supernatural was going on there.

We also have multiple, independent reports of people being abducted by aliens. Many of the alleged abductees are still alive to share what they say they witnessed. What they claim to have experienced isn’t even supernatural. Still, they aren’t generally regarded as credible.

Nor does that mean there is no supernatural. Lumping miracles together with magic tricks will get you nowhere in this forum. Not even Houdini could rise from the dead.

Of course it doesn’t. But it does make it harder to determine when something is actually supernatural as opposed to natural and unexplained.

I’m lumping them together to reinforce the point that it’s hard to tell one from the other as an outsider. I also mentioned other alleged miracles.
Not even Houdini could rise from the dead.
But Sathya Sai Baba could, if eyewitness testimony by itself is considered credible in these cases.

No argument from an atheist is going to work. Since you don’t believe in God, you **can’t **believe in miracles. One belief necessitates the other. No amount of proof for miracles is going to persuade anyone who doesn’t believe in God. For atheists it’s all magic tricks and no more. šŸ˜‰

There is supernatural, but if one does not experience it cannot be proven so stop wasting your bresth.
it had been proven to me over 30 yesrs ago. But I will not talk about it to the intellectual seeker, a true seeker will eventually prove it for themselves.

Out of curiosity, how do you explain miracles from non-Christian religions, such as the milk miracle or Sai Baba’s abilities?

But how is it that anyone allows them to enter? Who would invite the devil to take over one’s body?
One who is angry is all the invitation that it
needs to take over a persons mind and body.
God gives it that permission for his purpose.
his purpose is to make us aware of our sin and when we suffer enough
god exorcizes it freeing us from sin and changing our fallen nature.
creating us into new creatures.
we all have one in us and allour works to become perfect is to no avail.
we must take every thought captive.
for the entity reveals himself in thoughts and emotions.
