A National Health Service leaflet is advising school pupils that they have a “right” to an enjoyable sex life and that regular intercourse can be good for their cardiovascular health.
The advice appears in guidance circulated to parents, teachers and youth workers, and is intended to update sex education by telling pupils about the benefits of sexual pleasure. For too long, say its authors, experts have concentrated on the need for “safe sex” and loving relationships while ignoring the main reason that many people have sex, that is, for enjoyment.

The document, called Pleasure, has been drawn up by NHS Sheffield, although it is also being circulated outside the city.

Alongside the slogan “an orgasm a day keeps the doctor away”, it says: “Health promotion experts advocate five portions of fruit and veg a day and 30 minutes’ physical activity three times a week. What about sex or masturbation twice a week?”

Sounds like an argument for early marriage. But I’m afraid that it was probably not intended that way.

*I am starting to think that it’s all a big conspiracy, pushing sex on unmarried people. (especially our youth) More condoms will be sold, and other contraception, and more abortions will be conducted. More docs treating these kids for std’s. MONEY MONEY MONEY. It’s all about money. It doesn’t make sense otherwise, why such a push everywhere we turn, to tell people to have sex outside of marriage as much as possible? As if these doctors are actually concerned about these pupils.

I had the mosfortune of watching the news a few nights ago, and Planned Parenthood, oh my gosh–raked in last year, nearly ONE BILLION DOLLARS! I couldn’t believe it. HUGE money in lying to people about sex. Huge.

Orgasms are healthy, but not outside of marriage. Doctors need to get back to doing what they should be doing…taking care of people with real health concerns, and stop putting out these disgusting messages that are dangerous. Suggesting to kids to have sex as often as possible outside of marriage because it’s healthy, is like condoning danger. *

I concur! Sex outside of marriage isn’t good for the spiritual health! I hope people will understand that one day. It’s a relationship with God that matters. I’d rather die of a heart attack than be in the wrong with our Dad.

Our world is a mess. Would not everyone agree? The sad part is with the growing epidemic of STD’s these kids hear this junk and then end up with lifelong illnesses. I think that the poster above is right to say that it feeds the abortion clinics and doctors’ offices. This is what happens when money becomes your god…teachccd

P.S. notice the number of my posts

*Yes, I agree…it dawned on me recently, between the commercials, clothes, tv shows, now doctors promoting casual sex amongst teens…it’s like, there has to be something “in it for them.” And that something is money. Sad, so sad. 😦 When did “sexuality” become a business? *

If orgasms are healthy within marriage, then they have to be outside of marriage too, I do not condone teen age sex, But I think mature persons who just cant seem to find a life time partner, I think they need sex too. Sex is a powerful appetite, & most of us including us Catholics dont do without it married or not

*No one died for lack of sex. It’s not a necessity like food or water. The media, and now doctors apparently, make it sound like it’s a need like healthy food and water. How about priests and nuns? Some of the healthiest people I have met on this planet, are NOT having ANY sex whatsoever. I think that orgasms are healthy, but with sex, comes responsibility. To separate the two, means one is putting himself into danger…physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally, to be honest. Having orgasms with people who are not your spouse, will only leave a person empty. *

WEll, there are a lot of empty people around, arent there. You dont know for sure that those people you mention aren`t having sex, we can only be sure of what ourselves our doing

How disturbing. I agree with Whatevergirl - there is something else going on here. But I don’t think it’s just about money. The world can’t go on like this before collapsing in on itself. Why are we running toward it? People are starting to just give in and support all kinds of disordered behavior. The Devil is THE powerful force of unspeakable evil, and people are just embracing him. I’m not a doomsaying “the end is nigh” type, but the signs are getting harder to ignore.

I agree. But I need to add that having sex doesn’t mean that you aren’t empty inside. There’s far more to life than our obsessions. We do need to be on our guard because satan has really made some inroads into our lives.

*I’m not implying to know what others are doing…I’m saying, if a person chooses to have sex outside of marriage, the experience will be empty. Regardless of religion…it will lack in everything that it could and should be, as it’s out of God’s plan for the gift He created. I don’t think that you and I are understanding what each other means, hopefully, that clarifies things better.

Regardless of where we stand on this…doctors telling students that it’s a-ok to have sex outside of marriage, because it’s ‘healthy,’ is a dangerous message. Our culture believes in sex at all costs…simply because it feels good. That’s a bad message, in my eyes.*

SedesDomi:
This kind of stuff will only change when the churches wake up and start proactively working against the cultures of death.
I personally wonder, that when I was 20 and had my conversion experience I woke up to a world where the culture of death was in charge and where no one had ever given it much resistence… it seemed there had been a massive surrender without any noise even before I was born… I never heard about huge protests that had taken place in Europe and the rest of the world when the abortion was made legitimate, or pornograpy… it’s like… the good has been watching passively and now we are in a mess over our heads. Especially in Europe. I can only urge American Christians to fight because their outcome is not yet settled.
What the awakened people must do is to gather and work against these forces… make public protests, write letters to politicians, organisations and so one, telling them we do not agree and why. Make your oppinion known… gather and make a noise. Start a debate…

If orgasms are healthy within marriage, then they have to be outside of marriage too…
That doesn’t follow any more than saying E. coli must be healthy on your salad just because it’s healthy in your lower intestine.

I am against encouraging young teens to have sex, always have been, but You would be surprised at how many people look at me like I have two heads when I say that, also unfortunately a lot of parents see nothing wrong with their young teens having sex, in a lot of cases they encourage it by putting their daughters on Birth control etc:(

Yes, I’ve heard many people say that. I think that many who grew up with the notion that everyone had to have sex, are teaching the same to their children. It’s as if they are thinking, “oh, we know that our kids will have sex (after all, we did) so just get them on birth control and lay in a supply of condoms for their 14th birthday!”)

That just reminded me of something.

During my first year in college, my father bought me a pack of condoms for my birthday, and was happy to do so. We enjoyed them… we blew them up like balloons and threw them around the dorm hall like we were five years old.

I was annoyed he bought them for me. He assumed I was having sex, since my parents were when they were my age.

There You go Jim, You & I are on the same wavelenght
, I was behind a woman in a supermarket, she put her items up on the counter, as she flipped a box of condoms up there she turned around to tell me they were for her son, she said she was too young to become a Granny, & it`s not only protestants, a lot of catholic people feel the same & do the Same things,& also the double standard still exists, a pat on the back for the boy & a bad name said about the girl, seen & heard a lot in my 70 years

Regarding this interested and a bit choking subject,
two questions come out of my mind:
  • Many times I heard about a heart attack
death during sexual relation. Sex is very tirefull for heart.
    Anyone know?
  • Second , Our very ancestor christians , Their average
of life was longer than ours, and their sexual life
started early ( with marriage) and ended early too.
anyone can give us more details?
I beleive that our ancestor lived more pure life than ours.
And sex was a very confidential relationship, and they
live longer than us. So it contrdict our todays doctors
    theory. Is’nt it?
Peace and Good.

Nohamaria 🙂
