Purchasing a missal

I am looking at buying a hardbound missal but I’m not sure how this works. I can purchase a Vatican II hardbound missal for less than $30.00 that has some sort of sliding calendar that works way into the future. This is cost great compared to the Magnificat which goes for about $45.00 / year. I could use some advice in this area.

Well, the Vatican II Missal (as well as Magnificat) is going to be for the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite. By posting this in the Traditional Catholicism Forum you are probably going to get responses concerning Missals used in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.

So, it might help to clarify exactly what you are looking for in a Missal.
