Hebrews 4:16 declares,“Let us boldly enter the throneroom of grace!” So you see, you have no need of a priest; you can approach God on your own(one on one). 1John1:9 says that if we confess our sins unto Him…" And He didn’t tell me to go see a catholic priest, either! Plus, Jesus told me and you not to cal any man on this earth Father!

How easy it is to ONLY accept the pasages you agree with, and those that allow you, in ignorance, to play “spin doctor” with.

How do you explain the mutiple truths you impose for the same issues? Oh, I get it. The 2000 year Old Catholic Church is wrong every time. Sure is a conveinant faith you practice. WWJD?

Denying truth does not change it; it only makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

So, if Purgatory exist [it does], does that mean God loves Catholics more than non-Catholics ?

“Faith is a gift?” Agree or diagree? What does that mean?

And how can you be sure your understanding is from the Holy Spirit?

Not to over burden you with all of these questions; but the book of Jonah and its reference in Luke 11:29-32, makes three major moral points. What are they? [And yes, in the back of my head I still have the OPQ topic in mind.]

No Tweety hold on a minute. It is self imposed understanding. You are going against what God said. He said he leaves teaching to certain people.

Paul tells Timothy quite clear , What you have HEARD from me before many witnesses entrust to FAITHFUL MEN who will BE ABLE TO TEACH others also. There you go Paul just instructed Timothy to pass on the oral teachings (tradition) that he received from the Apostle. He was able to give these to men who WOULD BE ABLE TO TEACH OTHERS.

Now if this is not self imposed understanding, where did it come from. Not from the word of God as I have showed you. You do not know Tradition because it only comes from the Church.

The truth of faith has been given primarily to the leaders fo the Church (EPH 3:5)
Who with Christ form the foundation of the Church (Eph. 2:20)

The CHURCH has been guided by the Holy Spirit who PROTECTS this TEACHING from corruption (John 14:25-26 16:13)

I agree with you Tweety. But please do not blame the Holy Spirit when you twist Gods word. It is okay to admit you do not understand everything. I know I don’t thats why I have to learn. But please don’t blame your mistakes on the Holy Spirit tweety. That would be saying the Holy Spirit told you this, and the Church that, then the HS would have lied. And that is impossible. The Holy Spirit can teach only ONE TRUTH. The HS is what is to bring us together not tear us apart tweety.

What He did say is Son Man has the authority to forgive sins you can read it in MK9:2=8 He also said whose sins you forgive are forgiven JN20’23 and we have many more,do you need to find them for you or can you find them by your self

Coosa all of the main ideas of indulgence is based are found in the bible. The church’s power to bind and loose,various atonement among members of the church, and penance. Although the doctine is developed like all others it is not unbiblical in the least. In fact check out

St Paul himself issued an indulgence by lessening the temporal penance for sin of a straying brother 2 cor 2:6-11 which he previously imposed on him 1 Cor 5:3-5. The CC adds no more in essence to the practices and theilogical presuppositions of these 2 passages. Hope that answers your question.

No you are not correct. Forgive me but I am unable to give you a complete answer right now. Briefly the RCC does not release souls from purgatory. Purgatory is not a place but more of a process. Try to get back today but:shrug:
