Your posts are always quite clear, my brother in Christ!:thumbsup:I for one, believe that original sin along with all sins of the world were forgiven when Christ shed His precious Blood on the Cross! Baptism generally happens after one has made a profession of faith, and accepted His generous, yet undeserved offer of eternal life! I pe you understand that I don’t believe that baptism forgives us of sin, nor does it save us! Belief in(by faith) and acceptance of His invitation to turn from your sinful life come first! Then Baptism! Bless you, and may He richly endow you with that you need!
Bless you for your generous compliment.👍

As for original sin, God may have forgiven the sin but He said that from that point on man ( all humans from that time ) would have to pay the consequences of it ( Gen 3:17-19 ). So from that point on we all are stained ( cursed ) with that sin.

Also, didn’t Jesus say to "go forth teaching all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit"? I’m quite sure that He didn’t mean adults only ( “suffer not the little children to come unto Me, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven” ).

I understand your position, and I respect it. I am only trying to show you that the CC teaches only what is in scripture and what Jesus Christ and the Apostles taught. God Bless.

Tonight, playing the part of God:jharek carnelian! Able to dispel any notion, that is perceived as noncatholic! He can look across mighty expanses and see that men who preach the Gospel are or are not ordained and anointed! Bravo, bravo!😛

It is sad but she spent time in a narrow bible study which did not teach her how to read the bible. It taught ideology not bible truth. It is impossible for her to acknowledge that she is ignorant of the bible. Hence, she does not recognize scripture. Often denying what scripture says because she doesn’t realize that we are quoting scripture. She rarely if ever contributes to an understanding on a thread. Instead, she makes short snipes without any substantiation. Prayers for her is the only answer. Hopefully, the grace of God will soften the harden heart. It would be best just to ignore her.:sad_yes:
I must apologize for these remarks. Not because they were not true but because it breaks forum rules, it was uncharitable and it served no purpose. Therefore I am sorry.

I recommend to others to not address her personally only her remarks even then I wouldn’t.

And I hope that you don’t, but I do accept your qualified apoligy. You do not know me or my heart only God does and I am I am a child of God. Have you ever reread some of your remarks to me or others. You do not what is true about me only that as a person who goes to Catholic Church and does not agree with all. God will be my judge as well as yours. So good luck with your life and in the one to come. I have confidence in my Savior. God Bless you as God’s light tries to shine in you life.

Hi Jh I think that even though we are off topic you hit on the most importatant fact in Catholic History. That fact is what keeps me going to the CC not matter what. And that is authority! The CC is the only Church that has the authority to turn bread and wine into the Living Christ right before my eyes. Now that is awesome.

Today if Good Friday I will spend most of my day in Church, which I know many others here will be also ( can’t get into much trouble today:D) and while I am in Church I will pray for each and everyone of us that we can continue to spread the good news the best we can also.

While I admire lb and tweety and know they are doing the best they can, we are also doing the best we can.

Last night we cleared the front of the Church before it was over, and when we did that it felt so empty. All is bare today, and today is a day for great suffering for our Lord. Today I will feel great pain, and great loss. But tommorow I will return to the Church and make my Lords house full and beautiful once again. And then we will celebrate his return once again in joy and happiness.

But for today I cannot help but feel great sorrow and pain and emptyness. I always get that way on this day.

My Dad was a strong man, I never saw him cry, But I always remember on this day we spent in church big tears would roll down his face, I do not think he ever knew it. I never knew why, until years later. Here on this day he was there with my Lord at the Stations walking with Christ in his mind step for step. Today I will also understand once again those tears. And without my knowledge (until my make-up burns my eyes) I also left the Church and some how will go back in time. Sorry for rambeling. But God bless you all and may all find a special peace today for what God did for us. To know no matter how far apart and separated we may be we are all one. All One in Christ!

I guess what I was really trying to say, is that only God knows what is in the minds of human beings! To say that no other man of God, outside of catholcism, is handcuffing God, and saying that He only ordains those who fit a supposed apostolic succession! One of the problems I have with it, is that we are asked to believe that over 2000 years, this “valid” chain has been pristine! I believe that God can empower, and anoint ANY person to carry out His will! Please forgive me if my “cheap” comedy was hurtful in any way!

So, because of transsubstantiation, you are able to bring the body of Christ to life in your church? Or is it in your mind’s eye? Is the wafer and wine really still wafer and wine? Can you touch His glorified body! I will partake of the Lord’s Supper this evening, after our Easter drama"I Will Rise."

I just love your heart, girl! And thank you for the Easter greetings! Let us not forget the true meaning of this time of year! It is not about eggs or bunnies, it is far larger than that! And we will be rejoicing in our new little great grandson, 1 week old today! God is good all the time!👍

Congradulations on great grandson. Have had 2 of ours here for a week. 8 and 5. Taking them home tomorrow and spending 3 days there. They are a lot of fun. I love you dear brother.

There you go!!! You Got it!! Jesus first repeated what he said the summarized . I AM THE LIVING BREAD WHICH CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN IF ANYONE EATS OF THIS BREAD HE WILL LIVE FOREVER AND THE BREAD WHICH I GIVE FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD WILL BE MY FLESH.

The Jews disputed this, John 6:51-52

Jesus repeated this again with greater emphasis John 6:53-56

Notice that Jesus made no attempt to soften what he said. He said it, and he meant it.

there were times when there was confussion Christ explained what he meant Matt 16:5-12

On this fact he repeated himself and was quite clear.

He knew some did not believe, It is here that Judas fell away check out John 6:64. After this MANY of his disciples drew back and not longer followed him. John 6:66 God forgive me for saying this, but is that not the devils numbers. 666. It is the ones who did not believe in the Eucharist that fell away.

It is not in my minds eye lB. But if you want to call it that way then it is in my Minds Eye and I thank-you my Dear Lord Jesus for putting it there and letting me see the Truth as you Apostles saw the truth.

OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IS INDEED ALIVE IN THE EUCHARIST AND I REMEMBER, I CELEBRATE, I BELIEVE!!!
