Where is purgatory found in the Bible? Paul tells us that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Paul did not teach pergatory or even believed in one.
The very word “purgatory” may not be found in the bible. But what purgatory means is all spread in the bible. Many posters here have shown were they are. Unfortunately, you might had not the opportunity to read them all, otherwise you should have presented your objections to the references and links that they have presented.
Anyway, let me show you some passages:
  1. “Because Christ also died once for sins, the Just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God. Put to death indeed in the flesh, he was brought to life in the spirit, in which also he went and preached to those spirits that were in prison. These in times past, had been disobedient when the patience of God waited in the days of Noe while the ark was building.” (1Peter 2:18-20).
Now, please tell me, what shall we call that place where the disobedient spirits mentioned in the passage were in prison?
  2. “For he who eats and drinks unworthily, without distinguishing the body, eats and drinks judgment to himself. This is why many among you are infirm and weak, and many sleep. But if we judged ourselves, we should not thus be judged. But when we are judged, we are being chastised by the Lord that we may no be condemned with this world.” (1Cor 11:29-32)
Paul here is talking of Christians, for so they participated in the eating of the bread. But although they purport themselves as Christians, they ate the bread without recognizing that it is the body of Christ Himself. Because of this defect, they are chastised so that they “may not be condemned with this world”. Now, those mentioned in the passage as “sleep”, what shall we call the place where they shall be chastised?
  3. “He who knows his brother is committing a sin that is not unto death, shall ask, and shall give life to him who does not commit a sin unto death. There is a sin unto death. I do not mean that anyone should ask as to that.” (1 John 5:16)
If a person who sinned not unto death dies, he shall not go to hell because his sin was not unto death. He shall not go to heaven because he has a sin. Where shall he go?
