Hello, folks. There is to me a doubt about this verse:

“When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1,3)

What does “purification of sins” mean? Does it happen when Jesus cleans, or purifies, our soul from sin(s)? If it’s right, how to understand this purification of sins happened in the past by Jesus?

Thanks.

I’m ratiocinating badly.

For now, I just want to know the meaning of that part in bold.

Bye.

I’m the same age as you, not in your situation, but my only advice would be not to force things too much… even with my Catholic fiance’; theological discussions, like political discussions, can lead to a lot of anger and resentment, especially when both parties are passionate about their position.

Take it slowly, does she ever go to mass with you? Maybe take her to mass, answer her questions when she asks, but don’t fish for questions or lay it on thick. Just stay strong and convinced of your faith without belittling hers. It’s like planting seeds… plant a seed here and there, something profound for her to ponder, and if God wills, it will germinate!!! Pray God will touch her heart at mass, that’s all you can really do without causing arguments that will kill the relationship. 🙂
