I would like to know how can someone purify themselves as much as possible. Other of course than the sacraments. Taking the body and blood and absolution and so on. I’m sure some would say the rosary and I can’t disagree. But I am thinking about plenary indulgences and I have some info on that. And sacramentals. Holy water, Divine mercy, scapulars, novenas, and so on. I really myself like that picture that goes with the Divine mercy chaplet. Whether or not it’s “better” or “more powerful” than the holy mother’s rosary IDK. Any opinions?

Well, don’t overload yourself. Pick one or two things to do regularly and work on those.

If it’s still summertime where you are, you might want to take a short pilgrimage somewhere. There are plenty of amazing shrines, Catholic historical sites, and places associated with the lives of saints. You could even go visit a nice Catholic graveyard, and get some support from your Catholic brothers and sisters who have passed on.

But again, pick something simple that won’t overload you.

Practice any of the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Love *is *purity.

What are they? The terms spiritual or corporeal works of mercy? I believe our work in summary as to my understanding is feed the hungry, clother the naked, visit those incarcerated ec cetra.

Corporal Works of Mercy:

To feed the hungry;
To give drink to the thirsty;
To clothe the naked;
To harbour the harbourless;
To visit the sick;
To ransom the captive;
To bury the dead.

Spiritual Works of Mercy:

To instruct the ignorant;
To counsel the doubtful;
To admonish sinners;
To bear wrongs patiently;
To forgive offences willingly;
To comfort the afflicted;
To pray for the living and the dead.

Here are links to UCSSB commentary on them:
