Purple Crying

Please pray for my baby’s reflux and purple crying issues. he cries inconsolably for hours. All we can do at this point is wait for him to outgrow this phase. I can’t wait for the day I can sleep even a tiny bit.
 
Poor baby. He sounds like he doesn’t feel well. Prayers for a quick healing.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Try turning on the vacuum cleaner. It always worked for my son. After baby falls asleep slowly move the vacuum out of the room and turn it off. I have had 9 children and never heard of a baby’s reflux. What is it?? God Bless, Memaw

He was spitting up excessively after feedings. The pediatrician has recommended a couple of things for us to try to help him keep more down. So far they gave helped, but he does still cry all night most nights and nothing truly soothes him.
 
My daughter had silent reflux. The doctor gave us Previcid granules. It was strawberry flavored and she loved it and it helped her so much.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Iheartcoffee
baby. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Iheartcoffee
baby.'s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
 
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I know what’s it’s like to have a baby scream all night long. Praying for your family to get some relief soon…

That’s our next step. The pediatrician has us making some changes to his feedings for now but she’s ready to start him on Prevacid or Zantac if we don’t see enough relief over the next two weeks. I have cut dairy from my diet as a test for now so we can see if anything I am eating is irritating his stomach. We have a special bottle for reflux for times that he gets pumped milk or formula (sometimes he outpaces my supply). Another recommendation was to put a tiny amount of rice cereal in with his milk to thicken it. (Not feeding solids at his age yet, but this is such a tiny amount it is only really a thickener to help him keep it down. I haven’t tried the cereal thickener yet because we are doing all of this little by little to test things, but I’m on board with trying just about anything to make him a full and peaceful baby.

I tried the rice and it didn’t help. If you do the Prevacid or Zantac, I think you will see a big difference. My daughter was so much happier. I will keep praying that something helps your baby.
