Purpose of Confession--Urgent Help Requested!

What this teacher is spouting is WRONG and heretical to the catholic church. Allowing them to continue is to allow blasphemy and harm to the church.

So sad that much of this is going on. Or, from this 2 year convert’s look over the back fence, it seems to be the case.

I used to teach part-time at a few colleges. Again, unfortunately, the search for and profession of the truth, at least in English departments was considered passe 10 years ago.

I really love St. Thomas More. He seems so contemporary. Now having arrived at age 50, there are few things that truly make sense anymore, but they also happen to be important things: humanity’s sinfulness, the Mass, the Holy See, and the corporal and spiritual Acts of Mercy. Apart from that, I’m usually befuddled.

You know what…SHE DID!!! As to OTJM, it is that kind of thinking that allowed Arius and Martin Luther to spread their heresies and lies. You’re just like Chesto, “Maybe the Chuch will finally get it right.” That’s the thinking I’m fighting against. I fight for Jesus, not the Lie. Which side are you on?

Either you did not really read my reply, or you simply know very little about how universities are set up legally, how professors are hired and fired, and who has any significant (name removed by moderator)ut as to the tenure of a professor.

And don’t get snotty with me about who’s side I am on. Most of the comments about what the student should do are based on nothing more than uninformed personal opinions. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the fact that they have one doesn’t make the opinion a valid choice in resolving problems.

Presuming that one can get a professor fired by going to the administration, especially after the adminsitration has given what could be politely described as a bland response, borders on fantasy.

I go to confession every two weeks, more often if I need it, and I don’t need you questioning my integrity. I don’t question that the professor was wrong; I qustion the advice given by what appear to be idealists rather than realists.

So it’s okay for a professor at a college to defame and spread heresy about the catholic church because they have a contract? If they were saying those things about Jesus Himself, would you not speak up? Because that’s exactly what the teacher is doing, insulting Jesus’ church, the body of Christ on earth. And if you do nothing in the face of heresy because the teacher has a contract, will you explain it that way when it comes to judgement day? “Sorry Jesus, I know they were spreading lies but there was nothing I could do because he was tenured at the university.”

There is plenty that can be done. Especially if one takes the position that the teacher is spreading lies and heresy about the church as part of the curriculum. And if the school won’t do anything about it, that’s when you get the local church involved and then go public with it. Get protestors, news coverage, etc. It can be done, and it has been done. Look at the crackpot in Colorado that got canned for his views on islamic terrorists.

Point is, the teacher is wrong, is spreading lies about the church, is spreading anti-catholic propaganda to students that are paying to learn objectively about religion, and as a catholic it is his duty and job to stand up for Christ. It’s obvious here who will and will not stand up for Christ. I commend dbacks for defending our Lord.
