Matthew 7:7 to us ask, seek and knock and you shall be answered.

When we ask we have a purpose and when we seek we have reasoning and when we knock we have an intention which leads to an intent of purpose.
When we ask God through Lord Jesus we have a purpose and when we seek God through Lord Jesus we have reasoning for that purpose and when we knock God through Lord Jesus reasons with us and answers us by intention forming a binding relationship.

St Paul says that he gave up all such complex thought…just to know Christ and Him crucified.

There is great wisdom in putting aside formula, high theological and philosophical minutia just to simply suffer some small thing today for Christ crucified.
