A Prayer to St. Jude

Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of.

Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.

Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly for ‘jofa’ and her family who have and are suffering greatly, pray that God grace them with abundant Faith, Hope and Love and at least adequate if not abundant health, wealth and happiness, and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.

I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

Jesus said in a sad tone: **“Did you notice? Not once did she tell Me that she loved Me. Not once did she give thanks for My gift to her of bringing My Divinity down to her poor humanity to elevate her toward Me. Not a single time did she say: ‘Thank You Lord.’ It has been a litany of requests… and almost all of those who come to receive Me are like that.

“I have died for love and I am risen. For love I await each one of you, and for love I remain with you… But you do not realize that I need your love. Remember that I am the Beggar of Love in this sublime hour for the soul.” **

**11) For love of souls, I remain a prisoner in the Holy Eucharist, so that in their sorrow and grief they are being consoled by the most tender of Hearts, by the best of Fathers, by the most loyal friend. But that Love, which is consumed for the good of mankind, is not going to be returned.
  1. I live amongst sinners to be their salvation and their life, their doctor and medicine; yet they, in return, in spite of their sick nature, distance themselves from Me. They offend Me and scorn Me.
  2. My children, poor sinners! Do not distance yourselves from Me. I wait for you night and day at the Tabernacle. I will not reproach you for your crimes; I will not throw your sins in your face. A couple of things come to mind…

Rely on Catholic Charities or contact your archdiocese for free services as other posters have suggested. You need as many advocates on your side as you can get. Plus, with a child with Aspergers and suffering from depression yourself, you need that extra assistance.

With all the people who have been in your home- prayer warriors, priests, etc. I am hoping someone can enthrone your home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, if this has not been done already. I can personally vouch for the spiritual and mystical graces that come from this enthronement. It is very powerful and very effective. Tell Jesus that you will be holding Him to the promises that come with this enthronement, as you will hold to your end of the bargain. Tell Him that even if your emotions don’t agree, your will has complete confidence in His promises.

St. Philomena is a great saint and a real hoot, but for this situation, you need to bring out the big guns. Either St. Jude or St. Joseph- and I think because it is a family crisis, I’d recommend St. Joseph. Consecrate yourself to him as well by a simple prayer and start a novena to him, such as St. Teresa of Avila suggested. He will work wonders in your life. I’ll be praying for your family…

I have many prayerful people around me and a counselor who is a pastor. I have healing ministry available which i take part in regularly. Most of my kids have good spiritual support - to the extent that they are open to it. My oldest son is in a therapeutic school out of stare which is not Christian though. Still, it’s where he needs to be.
I guess that it’s gotten so bad sometimes that only miraculous graces get me through. Thank you for all your prayers. I’m sure that’s part of why I’m surviving this 🙂
