Q on multi Mass attendance & Reception of Communion?

This afternoon, my church offers up confession from 4.30-5.20 and I’m going to be going to that (pray for me, please, it’s a struggle, but that’s beside the point) and then there is a Vigil Mass at 5.30. Would it be wrong for me to go to mass right after confession and then go to Mass again tomorrow? I’m kind of confused.
 
There would be nothing wrong with that! As a matter of fact, we need all the grace we can get in today’s world! God Bless You!
 
I see no problem with it, except I am not sure if you can Recieve at both Masses. Ask a Priest or if someone here who may knows better than I do, please respond, I’d like to know too.🙂

You are allowed to receive the communion twice per day.
It is also ok for you to receive the communion this afternoon, as Sunday mass, and tomorrow again.

The rule for the reception of communion is:
Minimum- once during the Easter season
Maximum- twice in a day, of which one must be at mass

So you’re fine.

Of course you can it’s two different days. Even if it was teh same day you could receive at two different Masses on the same day.

I believe the way the law is written it says that the second time must be at Mass. If you received at Mass once in the morning you cannot receive a second time unless the second time is during a Mass that you participated in.

Yes you can and you can receive twice in one day as long as the second time is at Mass.

Yes I’m curious about that too, unless it means sick people at home or in hospital receiving.
In all my years as a Catholic I’ve only received Communion at a Mass.
 
In parishes where there is not a regular priest, or a shortage of priests and daily mass is not said, Communion services are allowed. Consecrated reserved communion is stored in the tabernacle, and then when you participate in the Communion service, there is special rite…Liturgy of the word etc…and the distribution of Holy Communion.

Thanks. As we have three permanent priests I guess that’s why there are no Communion services here.

We have 3 daily Masses Mon - Sat and then 10 Masses on Sundays.

Sometimes there are Communion servcies at noon in some parishes. I have also seen Communion services at 6 pm in the evening during the week. IMO Communion services should only be held on Sunday if a priest is not available for Sunday Mass. Monday through Saturday Communion Services should not be allowed.

I my reading of the rules a Communion service should only take place when a priest is not available for what would be an obligatory Mass. Sunday and Holy Days only. Also when it is known that a priest is not available for Mass on a scheduled basis then the obligation is lifted anyway. A liturgy of the Word and community prayer would be more apporpriate.

As an example:

At a priestless parish, a visiting priest celebrates Mass on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. He is not there on the 2nd and 4th Sunday. There should not be a lay lead Communion service on the 2nd and 4th Sunday. Because it is known (no supprise) that no Mass is available and the obligation to attend Mass is lifted. Now if it’s the 1st Sunday and 500 people are already there expecting Mass to be celebrated and the priests car breaks down 10 miles from town (and he does not have a cell phone and no one can go get him). That is different. IMO
